The TalkBack feature works by vocalizing the information on the TV screen, such as the program guide and setting screen. The TalkBack feature also explains the item you selected and information on what can be done with that item. To use the Talkback feature, an Internet connection is necessary.
Notes:
- The TalkBack feature is being continuously improved. For now, some features on TV might work better with the Screen Reader.
- When the TalkBack feature is ON, the Edit option in Quick Settings can't be used.
- When the TalkBack feature is set to ON, some edit options, including Move and Hide in Inputs, can't be used.
- For eARC-supported models only: when the TalkBack feature is activated, the eARC mode will be Off.
- The Accessibility shortcut function can switch the TalkBack feature from active to inactive.
Activate the TalkBack feature from the Quick Settings menu
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
Note: The Quick Settings button is located at the upper right of the navigation wheel on the remote.
- Press the Left arrow button to select Settings, then press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow button to select System, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Accessibility, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select TalkBack, then press the Enter button.
- Select Enable, then press the Enter button.
- Select OK, then press the Enter button.
Note: Once you enable the Talkback feature, Accessibility and TalkBack are added to the Quick Settings menu.
Stop the Talkback feature from the Quick Settings menu
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
Note: The Quick Settings button is located at the upper right of the navigation wheel on the remote.
- Press the Left arrow button to select Settings, then press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow button to select System, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Accessibility, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Talkback, then press the Enter button.
- To stop the Talkback feature (switch the setting to OFF), select Enable, then press the Enter button.
- When you hear OK, press the Enter button to stop (turn OFF) the Talkback feature.
Set the volume of the TalkBack feature in relation to the main volume
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.

- Press the Left arrow button to select Settings, then press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow button to select System, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Accessibility, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Talkback, then press the Enter button.
- Select Configuration, then press the Enter button.
- Select Speech volume, then press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow button to select your preferred Speech volume in relation to the main volume: Match media volume, 75% of media volume, 50% of media volume, or 25% of media volume.
- Once you have made your selection, then press the Enter button.
- Select OK, then press the Enter button.
Change the speech rate
- On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
Note: The Quick Settings button is located at the upper right of the navigation wheel on the remote.
- Press the Left arrow button to select Settings, then press the Enter button.
- Press the Down arrow button to select System, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Accessibility, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Text to speech, then press the Enter button.
- Press the UP arrow or Down arrow button to select Speech rate, then press the Enter button.
- Select your preferred rate (from Very slow to Fastest) then press the Enter button.
