How to use the Remote Support function
Remote Support is a function that allows the call operator to access the TV and remotely resolve issues directly.
Before you start
- Please contact Sony's call center to speak with an operator.
- Sony needs to access and collect data from your TV in order to provide support services.
- An Internet connection is necessary to use Remote Support. Customers are responsible for maintaining the necessary network environment.
- Remote Support Session Code is valid for approximately 10 minutes, please use it within the time.
Activating the Remote Support function
To enable the screen reading function, the Talkback feature (rather than Screen reader) is recommended. For details, refer to the article How to use the Talkback feature.
- On the remote control, press the Mute button 6 times.
Note: If your remote control has a Help button, press the Help button on your TV remote control 5 times. - Press the Enter button when Remote Support is read out.
- Call Sony's call center.
- The next steps will depend on your TV
- If Remote Support and the BRAVIA CUSTOMER SUPPORT PRIVACY NOTICE are read out, press the Down arrow button.
- Press the Enter button after Online Remote Support Service Terms and Conditions are read.
Note: The time to read out the full sentence takes about 1 minute. Full-text reading is only available the first time. The wording of the Online Remote Support Service Terms and Conditions varies by region.
- Press the Enter button after I reviewed & agreed to Terms and Conditions is read out.
- Press the Down arrow button after Please read the following code to support the technician is read out. A Remote Support Session Code consisting of a 9-digit number is read out. Tell this code to the operator.
Note: If you miss the Session Code, you can listen to it again using the Up arrow or Down arrow button.
