Noise is heard from the LinkBuds

    Follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    Before you start

    Update the headphones' software to the latest version. Doing so may resolve the issue. Perform the update before proceeding.

    1. Select your problem:
      Noise is heard while playing music

      Go to step 5.
      Noise is heard while talking on the phone

      Go to step 2.
    2. Select the device you are using:
      Computer
      Go to step 3.
      Something other than a computer (such as a smartphone etc.)
      Go to step 4.
    3. Check the following:
      • If the noise occurs with your voice, the ambient sound may have been the cause. Try speaking louder, or use the Linkbuds in a quieter place.
      • If you use the computer's built-in microphone, the noise may be heard with your voice. For details on how to change the computer's settings, refer to the There is no sound or the microphone doesn't work when the headphones are connected to a computer article.
      • If the noise occurs with another person's voice, the network communication may be unstable. Use the Linkbuds near the computer to reduce the interference.
      The issue is resolved
      The ambient sound, or the computer's settings may have been the cause.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to step 5.
    4. Try speaking louder, or use the Linkbuds in a quieter place.
      The issue is resolved
      The ambient sound may have been the cause.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to step 5.
    5. Set the Linkbuds in the charging case, close the lid, wait for a few seconds, and then wear them again.
      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the Linkbuds.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    6. Perform the following with the LinkBuds and playback device:
      1. Restart the connected device.
      2. Delete the Bluetooth® device information of your playback device.
        Refer to the How to delete Bluetooth information from a device article for instructions.
      3. Refer to the appropriate page to pair the devices again:
    7. Reset the Linkbuds.

      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the Linkbuds.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    8. Initialize the LinkBuds and pair them with the playback device again.
      1. Initialize the Linkbuds.
        Note: Initialization returns the Linkbuds to the factory settings and all Bluetooth pairing information is deleted.

      2. Refer to the appropriate article to perform the pairing again:
      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the Linkbuds or the playback device.
      The issue is not resolved
      The Linkbuds may be malfunctioning or require repair.  Go to Product Repair.
