Astonishing Picture!

XBR X950G Series 28/07/2019 by Theatre Lover (USA)

I have had in my home for extensive scrutiny with varied content from 4K UHD, HDR Blu Rays, to Netflix and YouTube, to 1080i Cable TV several tvs - the 2018 Samsung Flagship Q9FN, the LG OLED C8, The Vizio P Series Quantum P659-G1 and the 2018 Sony X900F. Of those, I def preferred the X900F. It’s image was more refined, precise, accurate. But I found it (X900F) was underwhelming on some content, even on some 4K UHD Blu Rays. Enter the X950G and OMG! The GOOD: COLOUR: I have never yet seen more accurate, engaging, vibrant colours! Don’t really have the right adjectives. From animated CGI ranging from ‘Kung Fu Panda’, to ‘Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs’ to ‘The Incredibles’ - these movies that I had watched on other displays took on a staggeringly improved depth, contrast and colour! I’m not exaggerating! CLARITY: The X950G is stunningly clear! The way the ‘X1 ULTIMATE’ chip improves 4K verses the previous year’s already impressive X900F, is quite noticeable! The X950G’s ability to upscale lower res content like 1080i (720p), 1080p Cable or Blu Ray content is amazing. CONTRAST: I’m amazed! The full array isn’t the only thing contributing to the stellar contrast of the X950G. Clearly, the display’s immense processing capability adds to the overall pop! Don’t be fooled by anyone who suggests the X950G lavish in black level, shadow detail, image contrast. It excels on every level, with inky deep blacks, very bright specular highlights, stunning HDR! The sheer difference in the way colours, detail, black levels and textures are rendered on the X950G vs the previously impressive X900F is rather noticeable! The 4K versions of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Passengers’, ‘X Men: Apocalypse’, ‘Exodus: God’s And Kings” (to name a few), looked insanely good and visibly better in every way than on any other display I’ve seen. The image quality is so good, I honestly cannot imagine how good the ‘Master Z’ series LED or ‘Master OLED’s are! But both those displays use the same X1 Uultimate as well. DOLBY VISION: Of all the displays I’ve thoroughly tried in home, the X950G’s rendering of Dolby Vision content, stands apart. The ‘Dolby Vision Bright/Dark’ modes (which can also be tweaked to personal preferences) are incredible! I have not yet tried ‘NetFlix Calibrated’ mode but there is every reason to believe it will be just as impressive! The X950G is simply a stunningly good, amazing, jaw-droppingly good display! it surpasses everything else I’ve seen, and I truthfully believe it will come very close even to the Master Series LED or OLEDs. Sony hit it way outta da park with this one! The BAD: The display’s legs are a lil awkward.

Nice picture but software is terrible

Many times when powering on the sound switches to internal speakers which I never use. Smart tv audio doesn’t stream continuously and so my receiver constantly changes from 5.1 to stereo back and forth. Netflix loses audio and the tv has to restart to fix.

Thank you for reaching out to us! Press the power button on the TV to determine if the problem is with the remote control or not. For the location of the power button, refer to the Reference Guide supplied with the TV.

Check if the remote control is working properly

Point the remote control at the remote control sensor located at the front of the TV.
Keep the remote control sensor area clear from obstacles.
Fluorescent light can interfere with remote control operation; try turning off any fluorescent light.
Check that the orientation of each battery matches the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols in the battery compartment. Battery power may be low. Remove the remote control cover and replace the batteries with new ones.

Hard to determine the cause of some of the problems but they are frustrating. I always head to Sony because of the quality but this time is disappointing. Video stumbles, the tv locks up and needs a cold boot to get back to what we were watching. By then you missed what happened. Is it Cable, Android, TV? Whatever it's a poor experience.

I really want to love it but...it has issues.

The picture quality is great for the price. However, this tv turns on by itself at random times whether I am home or not. The sound frequently stops and I literally have to do a “restart” not get it back no just turn and turn off a restart. Also, I have an LED strip mounted to the back for lighting and when the tv is on they are fine but when the tv is off they turn on and off every other minute non-stop. I had sony in the past with no issues but with the issues I would prefer a different tv.

Grand baby loves Disney Plus and Netflix. I bought this TV for her, so she could watch the programs in her room without having to impede on others watching their program. This TV will not launch Disney Plus for what ever reason, a text box will appear saying no internet connected detected. All other apps will launch and play fine. This is an overall good TV with a very puzzling issue.

After b.b.apparantly sold us open box with problem, which Sony replaced promptly, has been great. Easy to set up all the streaming services. Works perfectly with TiVo. TiVo remote even works tv. Voice control on remote works well. Originally wanted 75”, but bought 65” because didn’t want anyone in house due to COVID To install, and glad we did, because this one almost too much for the two of us to mount high up on the wall. Picture is mesmerizing it is so good. Replaced smaller 6 year old Sony which still works well which we thought has great picture. I bought because bought my parents x800 week before, and it was so good I had to have new one. If in doubt, buy the x950, it is better and worth the extra. Casting apple ITV from iPad easy. My dh with hearing issues says sound quality is so good he can hear at a lower sound level now. Sony’s handling of a bad situation is why I buy Sony products. Their support is the best.

Great picture but if you are hanging on a wall...

The shipping box protected the tv very well, even though the box was somewhat damaged when it arrived via UPS. Much less lighter than my old 60 inch plasma. colors right out of the box are just incredible ( however, I did follow the calibrations on rtings dot com, improved the whiteness and contrast). My only warning: attach any cabling before you hang it on a wall. The connections are almost impossible to reach after the tv is hung on a wall.

Great picture night and day. But mine has a bug

The TV has a great picture and sounds wonderful when it works. I’ve had to reboot the television 3 times because while using the sound goes out. Do you know how frustrating it is to have to setup all the apps and television three times. I don’t have a a soundbar or anything connected to it. But the sounds goes out. It is a huge flaw. I’ve always had good quality from Sony but this one is i guess the flawed. I assume this is not just me. But when I look up trouble shooting it assumes I have something connected. A shame because the interface is really good I even cut cable once I got the tv but if I have to reboot it every few weeks. To late to send back. I have a frustrating big tv. People told me I was wrong to go with Sony, I defended my purchase. But I will say cameras, PlayStation speakers have been great . But stay away from tv. I wonder if updating software is the issue because the last I did that. It went out again.

Great silicone inside. Fast, crisp,and terrific color sense. Set up was a bit of trouble. But after one hunts for documentation for setup. It goes a bit easier. Still need to brush up on jargon in the docs though.

Great Quality TV

I purchased this tv about 6 months ago. So far, it has been nice using this tv. The features are easy to use and updates are easy to do. We had an issue with trying to download Disney Plus and the tv became virtually unusable, so we had to delete it. One thing this tv doesn't have that my previous tv (different brand) did have was volume memory for the different inputs. The volume setting for watching the movie player on one input would be say 50, then you would have to quickly change it to say 14 for the input for playing a video game so it doesn't blast your ears off. The backlit feature of the tv is nice for most viewing so it limits the amount of bleed out in the picture. I do wish it had an old style rca jack for older game consoles, but that is becoming a thing of the past. I have a Sony 4K movie player and the picture of the movies is very nice on this tv. It is a little expensive, but has good value.

Bravia Sync is awful and the Android OS is buggy.

Bought this TV with a Sony HT-X9000F sound system. According to Sony’s documents they should be Bravia Sync Compatible, but they won’t link up. I’ve also had problems out of box with weird glitches likely due to the android OS.

We're so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. The issue you experienced may be resolved by resetting the BRAVIA Sync function between the TV and the soundbar. You will need to go into the menu of the TV and get to the BRAVIA Sync settings. Clear out any devices paired and turn the feature off. Then, disconnect the HDMI cable between the soundbar and TV from both products. Unplug both the TV and soundbar from the power outlet for 1 minute and plug them back in. Reconnect the HDMI cable between the products and enable BRAVIA Sync. You should have audio connections re-established. Amazing Picture

I bought this TV about a month ago and am beyond satisfied with it. The picture is absolutely amazing and there are plenty of options to adjust it to your needs. The Android special features of it definitely comes in handy as now I don’t have to use my Xbox One or PS4 for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+, etc. The picture is very bright, colors have great detail, and overall it just POPS. The only thing (to me) that isn’t perfect about it is the sound, it’s not “bad” but my other Sony TV has much better sound (but I knew this before I purchased it, my other one is much thicker and has a built in sub woofer). I think for my apartment the sound is just fine, if I had a big house I would either buy a sound bar or would’ve gotten the x950h for the better sound. Other than that this TV is PERFECT!

How to fix "No input detected. TV will turn off"

Our beautiful Sony liked giving a message saying no signal detected, even though we were watching a show. It did this on various HDMI inputs. In Settings, Preferences, Power turn off the setting that turns off the TV in 15 minutes if no signal detected.

Great Picture, Easy to set up, One down side...

Got this 5 weeks ago. Couldn't have been happier. Picture out of the box was perfect. Did not have to change any settings. I was going to calibrate the screen at a later date. Ease of set up was a breeze. Plugged in the LAN/Ethernet and was online. I happened to catch this set on sale at Best Buy. I do not know what the sound is like on this set. I have it paired with a Sony Z9F Sound Bar. The use of Android on Sony's TV line up basically makes them a giant tablet with the use of a keyboard and mouse plugged in. Limited Google Play Apps is a bummer though. Would like to see a bigger selection of Tablet Apps. One little hiccup with it and I will be contacting Best Buy and or Sony about the issue. The LAN/Ethernet port failed after 5 weeks. I will be getting that resolved.

Bought this tv about eight months ago. Have had several issues with it including will not connect to the internet (though sitting next to the router, and our ten other tvs all connecting). It also gives you a message that there is “no signal detected. Will shut down tv in one minute.” This occurs while you are watching a program or movie so obviously there is a signal. Most recently occurred while my son was on tv. Tv shut down in the middle of a news story regarding him. Could not stop it from happening. Looking online shows that I am not the only person having this problem. MANY others. Tried contacting Sony and was told they are not sending out repair technicians now because of COVID-19.

I upgraded from an x900E and I can definitely see the improvements. My one gripe so far is that sometimes when switching to Netflix on the tv there’s no sound from my Sony soundbar. It requires a restart to fix the issue. Other than that I’m pleased with ALL 4 hdmi being fully compatible and the overall experience of this model.

The only drawbacks include the selection of apps through Google Play. Google competitors are shut out. No Apple TV app, No Spectrum app, etc. And for awhile, I had to reset the TV at least once a day to get the apps' audio to come back.

This is my first Sony TV. Will not be my last! Deciding between this and the Q80. Very happy with my choice. Was afraid of the android system, but it has been fine. The remote is premium and the picture is outstanding. Seriously. RedBull TV is a cool bonus. Only use it for streaming services and OTA. Super quick and again, the picture quality is unmatched in my eyes. OLED aside, this is the best TV for this year. Zero complaints. We have a larger MU8500 65” but will replace it in a couple of years with another Sony.

The google built in to this TV functions whenever it wants, which is about %10 of the time I try to use it. The google talks too much!!!!!!!!! The google volume is way too loud, there is no volume selector for google volume, absolutely TERRIBLE!! If you have speakers up, that google voice is ridiculously loud, it ruins the whole experience. PUT IN A GOOGLE VOLUME SWITCH, or better yet, A GOOGLE MUTE, so it will do what you tell it and shut up!! PICTURE: It's lousy. Even on NETFLIX, my old Samsung was much crisper, this tv on spectrum cable is terrible, freezes up, pixelated, can lose connectivity at random.

Updated review - Sonos Arc purchase

I bought the x950g mid May but the Sonos Arc hadn't yet been released. When I first hooked up the Arc to the x950g, there was no sound. I had to unplug and restart the x950g to hear audio. Now, every day there is loss of audio connection. The only way to have audio again is to either restart the x950g or the Arc. Looking online, I see other Sony owners having this same issue with the Arc. It appears Sony can release a firmware update that would help this problem, but they are not doing so. I read one instance where Sony customer service was particularly unhelpful. I hope Sony addresses this issue; these are expensive purchases not to work well.

Great TV only Hope HDMI 2.1 update is released.

The TV has great picture and clarity. I love how it supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. I had issues with sound when I got my sony HTX-9000F soundbar when switching inputs it would drop audio within the built in android apps when returning to the android tv interface. I bought a shield TV instead and have not had an issue since with audio. That issue could be fixed by now with several updates but I have not tried. I just got this TV in december and my only worry is that it wont get the HDMI 2.1 Firmware update. I know this TV can support it (Please Sony, enable HDMI 2.1 on this TV) and really would like to have it when I get the new Xbox Series X at the end of this year. If you are in the market for a TV in 2020 and looking for HDMI 2.1 out of the box this isnt it, but again I hope Sony pushes a firmware update to enable it. The last bad thing about this TV is viewing angles. I personally have no issue because my couch is directly in front of the tv but if you are sitting on the side you lose detail, clarity and quality. Overall I really enjoy this TV its the best picture wise I have ever had and love the HDR/Dolby Vision/EARC support.

Great value for a superb Picture Quality

i bought it week before H series comes out, since they have the same processor i save 500 went on sale now i be able to buy PS5,the pictures quality is great very good motion handling in sports and video game im so happy and the built dont look cheap like other tv, it may not have vrr freesync etc , but i bought a tv to watch movies and show besides in gaming is good to low imput lag i recommend this tv for almost overall use

Had for about one month. Picture just seems really dark and fuzzy. I have adjusted until I am blue on the face but cannot get the sharpness I desire. My 8 year old Samsung has a better picture. 4k upscaling in terrible. Watching older connect is so grainy.

We bought this about a month ago and are really loving it. The only thing we are disappointed in is when there is a very dark nighttime scene. It’s had to see what is going on. I bought this TV, wary of "smart" technology and now I am disappointed, during and "update", now I dont have any access to my netflix, primetime or any other wifi station except the TV. I am a busy person and today I tried to call for service to walk me through a process to hopefully fix my TV and you have no one to answer the phone? Really? Every other company is having staff work from home. I might as well have you take the TV back it is still under warranty? Does anyone actually read these reviews?

Best Combination of Superior Performance and Price

We have had this television for a month, and it is everything I had hoped. Sony has always had superior image quality, with accurate color and other aspects such as brightness, contrast, black level, dynamic range, etc. We also added the companion soundbar and subwoofer, which perform perfectly. This model is near the top of the range of Sony LED models, and we felt it was very nearly the equal of OLED models in image quality and substantially less expensive, so it was our choice. We couldn't be happier with it. We bought our first Sony Trinitron TV 35 years ago, and it was the best on the market. This model is also the best on the market in my opinion, with a completely different technology.

Worth spending the money

The picture is great. The new Android TV OS is pretty good, and it addresses most of the missing features. HDMI eArc is great. It would be nice to have the rest of HDMI 2.1 but this set doesn't have it. I'm using eArc with the Sonos Arc. Although Dolby Atmos doesn't play through all apps even though the set should let it. That is more about Android TV than the Sony set. It's such a simple thing, but instant on is great. No warm up and no splash screen. At this price, I understand if people go with OLED, I considered it too. But I do have windows near the set, OLED would look washed out in the sun but this set plays well. Viewing angles are great too, we have a chair that's almost parallel with the set and you still have a good picture. There are a host of small issues, most have to do with navigating settings. It is very difficult to figure out where a particular setting resides in the menu. Takes patience. I think the set is very much worth it.

Terrible customer service. The audio doesn’t work.

Sony has been a nightmare. I have bought 10 brand new TVs in last 20 years. I have had problems with this TV where the audio completely mutes to New Sony sound bar when watching apps. Sony has given me the run around for 4 months. Including a tec logging in, a new upload, a promise of someone coming to service (which the cancelled), an hdmi upload (which the then said they couldn’t send), then to on the phone with tech “high level” support for an hour a day 3 times over the course of two weeks, only to be told i have to continue to wait for an update. I paid $2200 for the TV and sound bar combo, and i am over the top disappointed and frustrated with Sony. Terrible way to treat a loyal customer.

PROFOUND DISAPPOINTMENT!

First, I have owned this TV for just over 1 year. So what I am conveying is based on my usage of this product over that period of time. Second, I did not purchase this TV, it was a law school graduation gift, but I would have otherwise. The TV would not connect to a wireless network. I had to run a cable from another room to even set up the thing. Once it was set up, the software would not update even though it was finally connected to the internet. After fighting this for a couple days I called tech support and after another 2 days escalating through their process we were able to force the TV to update its software. I hoped that all would be well—but it wasn’t. The TV is connected to my Sony home theater system, and the sound would often lose sync with the picture. Spent hours researching issues and configuring the setting to eliminate, but it was/is intermittent. Only thing that solve it is a TV reboot. So, I am disappointed that I have to reboot this TV at lease weekly for it to continue to operate correctly. I am profoundly disappointed that I will need to do this over the course of many years, ( or at least that is the expectation as my last Sony TV lasted for a decade). It does have a great picture.

So far so good

I've had my 950G for about 3 weeks now. The picture, features, and sound is very nice. I use a sound system with the tv but I had to try out the onboard speakers and they are as good as I've heard on a flat screen tv. I was so looking forward to experiencing Dolby Vision for the first time and it's one of the reasons I purchased a new set up for my living room. I bought an LG 4K blu ray player with Dolby Vision but it was not compatible with the Sony so I had to purchase a Sony blu ray player to finally get the Dolby Vision experience. I was not disappointed. The black level and contrast is top notch on this set. When the credits start, you get inky blacks and great screen uniformity... until the actual white credits start rolling across the sea of blackness, then the blooming comes into play. I've tried different settings and have yet to get rid of the blooming. Same thing happens with subtitles in dark scenes and sometimes when bright areas get too close to the black bars(which I have to stop watching the movie to notice), but it's there nonetheless. Today was the first day that my tv wouldn't turn on. I used the remote, tried the physical buttons on the left side of the tv...nothing. Unplugging, waiting for a minute, then plugging it back in did the trick. I've been thankful that I haven't had other problems that I've read about like sound dropping out or any problem at all until today. I hope that it was just a fluke and not a sign of things to come. I've avoided updating to the latest update using the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude. I might have to adjust my thinking now. I could have bought any tv on the market today and even with it's minor shortcomings, this Sony 950G is still the tv I'd buy again if I had to. I researched for about 6 months going into this and I'm 100% comfortable with my decision. There's no perfect tv out there, but this one meets all my criteria on what I was looking for and gives me that "WOW" that I was looking for.

This is a great tv at a good price based on the features and advanced technology that is in this set. It took a few days to settle in but the pic on all inputs is superb. I added the 800M2 4k blue ray and the up scaling of the blue ray is great. The tv also up converts very well from my Tivo. Pic quality always depends on the quality of the source but this tv does a nice job up converting to best pic possible. I have owned many Sony tvs over the years. They do a nice job of offering different price points based on your budget. I was looking at the A8 and A9 OLED but went with this one based on price and the fact it has the X1 ultimate processor. The OLED tvs are spectacular but still are higher on the price scale. I always buy based on performance for the $$ value and this 950G hits the mark!! Visio, TCL, LG have stepped up their game but still don't come close to Sony. Spend the few extra dollars on this especially if its your main viewing tv. I have this in a room that gets alot of natural light and the auto dimming works great. My biggest gripe is the sound, I was excited to try the new acoustic set up but it took me a long time to get all around good sound for all things. There are plenty of sound settings and adjustments which is nice but I think the back side tweeters are under powered. I was almost ready to buy a sound bar for everyday use but I figured out I could turn up voice zoom and turn down or off some of the surround effects that makes everything seem hollow or echo a lot. It definitely is not a deal breaker for me, you can always use home theater speakers or soundbar. I buy based on tv performance. I will say the built in Google android os is smooth and simple. I have it hard wired but there is wifi if you cant get Ethernet to the tv. If the price point is what you want to spend then buy this tv you will not be disappointed.

The picture quality as really excellent. Best watching is head on. Watching from a seated position 45 degrees or more loses stage vivid color. Our couch is directly in front so that is not a problem 98% of the time. When we have guests is when we notice the issue if we see all watching something. That is the only negative. Otherwise, sound quality and features are very agreeable.

I bought tv a couple months ago and love the picture.The HDR looks fantastic.The only downside is the none of the apps work,every time I try to use YouTube,Netflix,Disney plus,WWE network,any app the sound doesn’t work or the picture freezes.I bought the television for the picture but the smart features would have been a plus.

I purchased the Television for picture quality. Having problems with audio every time I'm on Netflix/amazon/hulu etc. have to power off television to get sound back. For the price i paid i wish icould return it for LG or Samsung.

Best color fidelity in a TV that I have seen

Okay, I gave this X950G a 4 star rating because it isn't perfect, but there is no such thing as a perfect TV if you are really objective. But, this 65 inch X950G excels in the most important category and that is accurate color reproduction. Accurate grass color is the bane of most TVs, hence the term "Toxic Greens" that TV reviewers use. Watching Golf or any outdoor scenes that have a mix of trees and grass is truly the best I have seen regarding accurate colors. The Android operating system is smooth. It does have one eARC HDMI port, although you will need an eARC soundbar or receiver. It also does work with ARC, just don't enable eARC in the menu because you won't get sound with ARC enabled soundbars or receivers. The TV has a decent built in sound output system. Anyone who only has experience using a TVs built in speakers will be pleased with the surround effect. It comes with a variety of preset picture modes, including a Game preset. I don't game on it so I can't give any view on that. The Standard and Vivid modes are probably the best viewable preset modes I have seen, although they can, in my opinion, benefit from tweaking. The movie mode, in my opinion is just plain drab. You can watch HDR content in the Vivid, HDR bright and HDR dark mode. It has the Netflix HDR compatibility feature if you use the TVs Netflix app. In my opinion this TV performs the best using the Vivid mode with HDR content. I rewatched HBOs Game of Thrones season 8 the Longest Night episode, which was just a dark blob on my previous top of the line QLED 2015 TV. The experience watching it on this X950G was remarkable. Sony has done a pretty good job of calibrating this TV. Yes it can be tweaked to your preference, but the range is small as the settings for the modes are pretty close. This Sony X950G will get bright. It is a great bright room TV. The reflection suppression of the screen is decent. Dark room contrast is very good. Gradation in the blacks and shadows is good. It doesn't crush the blacks when it reaches a certain point in the shadows like the earlier OLEDs did. Okay, like I said it isn't perfect. If you watch 18:9 or 21:9 content, the black bars at the top and bottom will get Black, but there will be backlite blooming onto the bars if there is something bright next to them. Not terrible, but don't expect OLED performance in this respect as no LED TV is going to do it. If you use close captioning there is very little to no blooming of the close captioning light on the screen. There is one bad and that is the remote. There is no backlight on the remote. Come on Sony, you can do better than that. We all know that this is review for a discontinued model, but if you can find one it will probably have a good price. I was shopping for a great bargain and had my mind set on an OLED, but the prices weren't coming down, so after a lot of research I decided that this was the best bargain for a really good TV and so far I think it was a good choice.

poor quality control

Was very excited to replace my sony kdl55w800c with the 4k ultra xbr75x950g. Very excited. Purchased on May 13th, delivered today, May 22nd. Unfortunately, within about 20 minutes of watching ota content the screen froze. Then it shut down and restarted and shut down. After that it wouldn't stay on long enough to check for a software update. Sony support site recommended unplugging all inputs and unplugging power. When powered back up it came on long enough to get through the Welcome screens and powered itself off. And the LED started blinking red. Unplugged power and it came on again for a couple minutes before powering off. Again with the red LED. Sony has no idea how frustrated and angry I am that a brand new EXPENSIVE television is sitting useless in my living room. I'm in Michigan with the COVID lockdown and have no TV. Hopefully they will replace though I expect they'll only repair. It's Friday, I won't know until Monday at the earliest. Maybe I can get someone to help set up the KDL in front of the 950 until then(I had help setting up the 950). Unbelievable. What's happened to you Sony?

Horrible problem with sound

Good TV unfortunately since this the Android TV Pie update we have had a loss. of sound problem that require force starting the device one or more every day. Despite the release of newer firmware versions the problem persists and Sony refused to acknowledge it. Will never buying a Sony product again.

Sony XBR TV’s have the best picture quality hands down. I have had several Sony XBR TV’s over the years and when I shop for my next new TV Sony XBR picture quality always wins. Not only does it have the best picture, but it has the best features as well. They are very easy to setup compared to others I have helped friends and family setup. Purchased for new home, great picture. Returned tv after Best Buy Geek Squad visits and could not solve software compatibility issue with AV sound system. Every time powering up tv never knew if sound would work. Be streaming tv show or movie, then tv sound to AV sound system would die, no sound. Numerous factory resets of both tv and AV receiver, new HDMI cable and never resolved tv sound through AV sound system. Now have LG 77” OLED tv and AV sound system works flawless.
