My wife bought this in April. It was impossible to set up as the connections were inaccessible. The first set failed and the second supplied did not work without specialist set up. Sony should redesign the connections to make them accessible.

I got this as I was looking for a new tv and saw it was a good price so I just got it and it worth every penny the picture is amazing the sound is spot on

Really pleased with picture quality and sound. Don't even need an external soundbar.

Superior in every way from picture clarity depth of picture vision and Dolby sound.

I purchased this TV on Amazon. Paid $3200. After 18 months tv would not turn on. The led light on the front flashes 4 times. After looking on the internet, found out this is the power supply/ inverter. I spent a lot for this tv only to find out this is a common problem for Sony. Very disappointing. Would never buy another Sony.

Very Happy with this fantastic Screen. The picture quality lifts movie and gaming experiences onto another level, and the remote and menu structure is exactly what i expect from Sony. The sound is also better than i have experienced so far, on other sets, and that is without using a sound bar. These sets are not the cheapest but i did not go for the latest model thereby saving myself a lot of money. I wish there where more options for the placement of the Feet that support the screen as they are rather big but other than that i have no complaints.

Very pleased with the TV, picture is great and relatively simple to use. Only negative was the set up for the 55" model, there wasn't a slide out section in the polystyrene to set up the stand so had to get some extra hands to help, would have been good to have instructions on the box, unless you've seen the YouTube video you wouldn't know the proper way to set up. Would have preferred a central stand instead of legs but seems like that's standard these days.

My SONY 55XD8005 stopped working after less than 5 years of use (!!!??? 5 blinks of red I had a SONY 55XD8005 TV and after less than 5 years it stopped working !!!??? the red light blinked 5 times - Panel failure (I have two Samsung TV's the work fine after more than 10 years), so it is on the way to the trash. I decided to buy the XR 55A80J TV and it looks great, very good picture and sound, a good value for money. I hope that it will last more than 5 years, otherwise it will be the last SONY TV I buy.

I bought this magnificent TV two weeks ago and it has transformed our viewing experience.

I'm not impressed with my Sony TV, the sound is disappointing, very lound base, quiet voices. Picture quality isn't great either, dull. Wouldn't buy it again

I bought it less than a week ago and straight away there was issues with the remote control. It either does not register the button push or it just reacts to no button push and it just goes off by it self which has become really frustrating.

Installed TV myself around 2 weeks ago. Lovely picture and performance. The set up screens are easy to navigate through. There are however a lot of settings that are available and I don't think are easy to find, for example the TV switches itself off after 4 hours, yes a warning does pop up but finding how to change the time in the menu wasn't easy. The most annoying problem was when playing the sound through our existing Sony home theatre system, the sound was out of sync with the picture. After many hours the problem was resolved by ringing the Sony helpline. Yes it was easily resolved with their help but even now I can not understand why the instructions are so vague. Now almost fully set up we are very pleased with our purchase.

Had tv for 14 months and all of sudden froze on a channel. Remote wouldnt work so therefore turned tv of at socket. Tried various attempts but TV is dead not what I would ever expect of a SONY product.

We bought this TV about a month ago after our old one of 12 years broke. This TV is absolutely stunning. The picture quality is amazing and the sound is just as good. Watching a movie is like being at the cinema. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this TV it is brilliant, I can't fault it.

TV arrived and did not work. Took a week to collect and will take 2 more before confirmation that a replacement will be sent.

Using this for about 6 month now, Over all great Tv with sound coming straight from the screen. Great blacks. Android Tv on board allow you to install additional apps as you need. one downfall is that the built in hard drive could be bigger for all apps, although you can add usb drive and use it for apps, what I did. Plenty ways to configure it for yourself, screen, sound, apps , can works with your google home, can display artworks when not in use.

I purchased the TV after being impressed with its appearance in a department store. I am very pleased with the picture and sound quality of this 55" OLED TV. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 4K television with a high quality screen. This purchase is my seconed Sony LED TV and shows my satisfaction with the brand quality.

We bought this TV one year ago, after ten months of usage the TV developed a verticle blue line. TV went for repair and we were supplied with a new unit. One week after usage a red flashing light appeared on the front of the new TV, even though the TV continued to work it went into a full reboot every time it came out of standby. Now waiting for this unit to be collected for repair. Not impressed.

Bought this just over a week ago and generally very pleased with it but disappointed at the position of the legs as they are too wide for my existing TV stand and means I will have to purchase another unit to sit it on. My last TV had a central stand and that as much better.

My husband bought this for me for my birthday, absolutely great, I have become a couch potato!

Got this model as a replacement for a 2019 model which had screen burn on it the picture quality is amazing tweaked to how I like it.its great for YouTube on 4k. Old TV had a 5 year warranty which came in very handy Sony had it replaced within 2 weeks.

Excellent TV, we have a light room but the screen on this is excellent, bright, vibrant and clear. Very good sound quality, and intuitive remote, well done Sony.

I brought this TV I was shocked to see how thin it was , sound on a bit quiet side, great pictures when you watching something it's like it's happening in own home.

I brought this a month ago I am not happy with the software which is lagging and Wi-Fi is not connecting properly or quickly it is taking more time to connect

I bought this Sony Bravia TV a month ago and haven’t looked back. The picture quality is fabulous and the cinema quality sound makes you feel immersed in the scene. Such good value. So happy I’ve gone back to a Sony TV - definitely worth its value.

This is a truly amazing TV, which I bought to replace my old Sony LED TV from 2014. This is a worthy upgrade, especially when you watch content in 4K and HDR. The OLED colours really stand-out. Check-out the Sony TV demo of Tokyo and the night-sky / brightness of the colours on-screen. The sound quality is equally as impressive using Dolby Atmos. Buy this TV and keep for a lifetime, as you really can't go wrong with Sony!

The UHD picture is amazing and the sound is so good I don't need a sound bar.

Super tv i purchased it for the sound quality but the picture is stunning as well. Easy to set up, wish it had pause but no big deal. Packed with features a good buy.

Got this fixed to the wall recently and I am very impressed with not only the picture quality but also the sound quality. Contemplated getting a sound bar before it was installed one but don’t think I’ll need one!

I've had the TV for about a year now. Picture quality is very good and sound quality not too bad but the addition of the Sony HT-A7000 makes it amazing. Downside is the annoying screen blanking when the picture switches to different modes or channels, although this is stable when watching a film/program. The smart TV part works well, but I prefer to use an Apple TV unit as the content source because the remote is simpler and easier to use and update support is going to be maintained longer.

I bought this Sony Bravia XR55A80JU Oled TV from John Lewis and im so happy with it,the picture quality is excellent and the sound is superb,I highly recommend this TV.

As expected, first rate from Sony in quality and service as in all the items we have purchased Sony has been outstanding and never given use any problems.

Not convinced it's the best picture after my 5 year old Samsung. Connections but difficult to get to as they are plugged in from underneath. TV picture a green tint inky blue blacks, pixalation movement in dark scenes. Changed the settings so many times. Two different TV guides Digital and You view TV guide doesn't allow you record programmes. Should have stuck to my original plan and gone for LG screen

Best TV I have ever bought. I’m a bit of Sony fan and my previous televisions have been Sony. Far and away the best value for money and picture could not be bettered if you spent 2x or 3x the cost on other brands. Highly recommended!!

Superb tv, no need for surround sound, large amount of different sounds

Over 30 years of Sony TV's and this is the best one yet. Outstanding performance all round. I would recommend this to anyone.

The sound quality is fantastic no need for a separate sound bar. Picture is amazing, the clarity is unbelievable. Can't believe the difference between this Oled TV and my old TV which was just 5 years old

We'd had Bravias before and had been happy but this one proved difficult to initially set up. The problem with it is it always turns itself off straight after you switch it on (on for about 20 seconds) and then powers right back up again. Nothing we do seems to prevent this. Sound bar quite sync with the tv speakers either which makes it sound odd to use both.

Great TV at a great price. I haven’t watched it much as my wife is watching Eastenders all the time.. but she seems happy! Lol

Oled screens are just superb .. and this Sony tv is top quality. I actually have the sound system linked to my Sonos surround system which is awesome, but even on its own the Sony sound is very good.

I brought the Bravia XR on the recommendation of my niece. I love the vibrant colors, and crisp quality sound.

Decent picture - seem to have a problem with the HDMI inputs taking feed from BT Box at full resolution.

Great TV and the sound is amazing. Picture is great and smart tv functions are easy to navigate….. but best thing about the TV is most definitely the sound. There are better looking TVs in the market but I think this is one of the best in how it works.

This is an impresive improvement from previous TV, The clarity, the contrast and the image quality are amazing, the black colours are really black. Sound is good enough and I don't think a soundbar is necessary but our room is small. The bezel is really thin and the support legs are hardly noticeable. You can use it as Google TV (Requires a google account) or more traditionally as a SONY TV. Settings out of the box are suitable for the less Tecchie user but you can change them if you are a more advance user. The only think I don't like about it is that there is no ON/OFF switch (or any other buttons) on the TV itself, all operations are done via the remote control. I've connected a all in one keyboard with touchpad (Logitech K400) to help navigate and type easier and works great, but if you have set it up as a Google TV you can talk to the microphone embedded in the remote to invoke "OK Google" assistant. Great piece of equipment. Newer models have improve in some areas but as an overall device and thank you to the sound, I bought this model instead of the latest.

The T.V.sound and connectivity is excellent,highly recommended......my only beef? is that SONY keep their prices near enough the same price at almost all their sales outlets,with very little price variation,.....with patience, you can at times buy this TV for approx. £100 less than normal price,(£999.00p) but with only one year guarantee,not five.....how do I know this? because I checked prices for almost THREE months before I could finally purchase this TV at £899.(a big saving of £100) which included a five year guarantee,........so to recap, the TV I cannot fault, it is excellent,.........But controlling the price through most of their selling agents at £999.00p is totally wrong.If you want one,be patient,and moniter prices and you will eventually get one cheaper.

What a great picture so pleased we made the choice using Sony again as we upgraded from a 42 inch to 55 inch

I always go for SONY TVs as they’re simply the best and most beautiful TVs on the market. This specific OLED google smart TV has all the features I need. Great performance and all rounder.

So pleased with our new TV from the picture and sound, the easily navigated remote controls and the range of apps. What an improvement, we have obviously been living in the dark ages. I could watch all day.

This is just quality. The picture, sound and look of the TVs just way above its rivals. We had our last Sony Bravia for over 15 years and we updated only because of the tech. The operation is intuitive and the whole watching experience is just a level above what we've seen before.

Had the TV now for a little over a week. Perfect picture quality but still trying to adjust the sound quality to obtain desired quality.

After purchasing this model in a refurbished state, I have been using it daily for general media and gaming. I have been absolutely blown away by the rich display colour and audio qualities; with the built-in speakers actually being superior to the external ones that I own. The only issues that I am experiencing are that there only two HDMI 2.1 inputs, and that these inputs cannot support both VRR and Dolby Vision at the same time.

So many plus points, sound, picture, ease of use. Works well straight out of the box but plenty of settings to play with if you so wish. Plugged a USB drive into USB3, followed the menus and can now schedule recordings. Only -ve point I have found is the inability to pause off air TV something I had been used to doing with my old TV.

Bought this TV a month or so ago , easy to install yourself, I'm so pleased with my Sony TV.

Purchased early March to replace my 4.5 year old Bravia which wasn't economic to repair. Picture quality and sound about the same, interface slightly better. Space to secure F connections at the rear, still insufficient, and the loss of some connection alternatives at the rear of TV is a negative.

I brought an 55A80J had thick black lines they exchanged for a 55A84J and the same as the other tv. Waiting for a response but still waiting.

Bought the TV from curry's, was told when I asked about freeview it was incorporated, only to find out it has digital TV but no pausing facilities. Also won't screen phone phones as stated ever though say you only need to be on same WiFi network
