Crash, bang, wallop what a picture.... I have been wanting an OLED set for a good while now, and finally took the plunge this back Friday, initially aiming for this year's A95L, but a local store had this model on a ridiculous deal, and close inspection didn't reveal enough if a difference to warrant the extra £1300 it would have cost. Honestly, this is by far the best picture I have ever seen in a TV, with anything 4k (most broadcasts and streams these days) looking unbelievable to be honest. So much detail, no motion blur, stunning colours, especially in vibrant mode for films and nature programs. I do have a sound bar, so the internal speakers are mute but before using the bar I had the set in use without and the sound quality was absolutely superb for a set of this type. If you can find a bargain like I did, do not hesitate. I can't imagine a picture ever being better (short of 8k).

I love everything about this TV. The picture quality is outstanding. The sound is good for a TV, although I have added the Sony HT-A9 and SW5 Sub, this addition takes the sound to a whole new level! It seamlessly incorporates all your various boxes to use the one remote if required but Google assistant is a joy, so there’s very little need to use a remote. Apple Music works better on Google than it does on Siri too!

Purchased this tv 2 weeks ago based on positive reviews. The reviews are not wrong! Very easy to set up, great picture quality and great sound quality too. Highly recommended.

Had this TV for 1 month... Picture is fantastic... World beating in fact!! Strong performance all round... Acoustic sound profile not as good as A80J though, Not as balanced and less bass which is odd ! Adjusting equaliser helped a little.. Overall pleased as I got this for £969!!!

Last year's top of the range tv. Lots of features BUT:- 1) Absolutely NO proper manual anywhere - the ONLY "manual" is a handful of pages on the set up and then scroes of the same in other languages. Nothing else on line. Help menus on the tv itself may work for some - and for me for ad-hoc questions - but everything else is on a guesswork/experiment and try to remember basis. Unbelievable! 2) The specification on Sony's only website says "yes" to teletext. It doesn't seem to work and without a manual there's not much more I can try. On calling Sony the person I spoke with a) didn't know what teletext is, b) proceeded to tell me how it works and to contact the service provider - absolute joke. 3) Upon registering the product via the tv (the on-line form didn't work and I didn't know where to find the serial number if it had - though they took me through finding it on-screen (something a manual would have shown me how to do, amongst a zillion other things I'm in the dark about) I received an email which didn't even state the length of the warranty. It's advertised at just about every outlet as five years for this model - to be registered after purchase. Upon asking the question, though, it's only ONE year with Sony. Abysmal. I was also accused of being abusive/non-professional when I reacted tot eh excuse for a complete lack of manual of (we don't have one because software updates may change functions" as "rubbish". It seems Sony regard that word as a swear word. If it is, then a swear word is most appropiate for this hugely disappointing performance.

What a great purchase very easy set up. Incredible resolution Dolby vision, HDR.

I read some great reviews on this TV before deciding to buy it and both the picture and sound quality completely live up to my expectations. My only criticism centres around the complete lack of a comprehensive user manual. This is a complicated TV and many features on it I have come across either by accident, by searching through the endless menus or by searching on google. Having previously owned an OLED TV for 6 years, I am not a complete novice and I'm sure that Sony devotees will be familiar with the way their products and menus operate, but never having owned a Sony TV before I could have done with a detailed guide, either in the form of a printed manual or an online guide to ensure that I get the best from what is for me, a very expensive purchase.

Brought this as an upgrade for my new house. Amazing quality and easy to set up. Brilliant sound quality with lots of options.

I received my A95K just under two weeks ago. I spent a lot of time reading through Tv reviews and finally decided that this was the one for me. And I am pleased to say it that in my opinion it is worth the money. The colours are amazing and seeing things like the way lights stand out in a nighttime scene illustrates to me how much TV’s have come on. I have enjoyed checking out the different settings on the Tv probably because they actually do work and have impact. The product feels well constructed and sturdy. I am looking forward to years of pleasure out of my new purchase. Thank you Sony. P.S. I was waiting to see how much of an improvement the A95L was over its predecessor but the fact that the feet only had a narrow position on the 77 inch version immediately ruled it out.

I bought this model in the Black Friday sale and I am delighted with it. Having some hearing loss as well as sight issues, it's made a real difference. You won't need a sound bar with this set!

Mixed performance with audio poor compatibility with Sonys own internal products. Paired with a high end Sony sound bar the two pieces often do not talk to each other and turn on/off. The TV remote can’t turn TV on consistently, picture quality is fine enough but not worth the price tag consider the poor user experience. You have to TURN ON HDMI high capacity settings it’s not default and this feature is buried in the sub menus.

Advised by JL this tv had the best picture and also backed up by on line reviews. Now installed they are right

Tv fae exceeded my expectations the camera is very clever and the picture quality is 10/10 especially for gaming.

I listened to much praise about the Sony Bravia XR, but this TV has surpassed all my expectations. It has a pin sharp true-to-life picture, is unaffected by direct light falling on the screen and colours and Hues are astonishing. I have had problems with relictions on previous TV screens - but not on this one! The TV build quality is excellent. It has a real glass screen with high-quality built-in speakers that sound much better than anticipated. And the Dolby sound projection is exceptional. My previous Samsung TV was only updated for two years which was a real issue for me, so I appreciate the flexibility and updates that come with Sony running Google Android. I paid a bit more for this TV, but it worth every penny and I am now a Sony convert.

I think a 400.00 tv has as good a picture as this one as

the tv is keep freezing and none of the remote functions on that time and i have unplugged and plugged back , it’s so annoying very unsatisfying Sony ..,! you disappointed me

I have had this TV now for 2 weeks, and find the picture absolutely brilliant (having used the settings menu to adjust the picture attributes to my preferred settings) The accoustic wave sound is also very good indeed, although I tend to use a home theatre system that I already had installed. Internet and media connections were all quite seamless and easy to set up and pair with my current devices. I find the hand gesture system a little hit-and-miss but it may be more useful to some. The Bravia core element is excellent and offers great movie viewing.The direct TV remote buttons to Netfflix and Prime video are also excellent features. The only issue I am still working on is managing to set up to ensure 100% synching between tv remote and sky remote.

After much thought I chose this TV QD-OLED and my god it was the right decision ..so happy with picture quality and sound (esp via Sonos set up) it makes watching already seen movies like it’s the first time ….

This is the second AK05 Bravia XR Master Series. The first is the 65" and now this 55". In the past I was in the production equipment industry and i believe that these displays are as close to a study monitor performance that can be had in the home and represents a superior value.

Excellent picture, etc. My only gripe is that it does not include a socket for headphones. So I purchased a Sony neckband only to discover that the TV would need a factory reset for it to be able to communicate with the neckband transmitter. Sony have known about this issue for at least a year but have not yet provided a fix for it (other than factory reset). Very poor that Sony struggles with compatibility between it’s own products.

I absolutely love this tv. The smart features are great. All the apps. I don’t need roku anymore. Great picture. 360 sound fantastic!

My first Sony tv and can’t fault it picture is crisp and upscaling excellent hd looks like uhd colours are natural and well balanced shadow detail is brilliant I use a sound bar so can’t review sound will only buy Sony televisions in future worth paying the extra for the best quality and faultless experience

very slow software, have to wait till warmed up and vertical black line now visible, which means faulty and having no joy getting replaced from either Martin Dawson or John Lewis, wish l hadn't bothered.

I’ve had Sony tvs for several years had great success with all of them. This one is best yet.

I bought this TV several months ago now. I am still very happy with it. Picture quality and sound are excellent.

First new TV for well over a decade. This replaces a Plasma version. Picture quality is fantastic, especially when receiving 4k quality material. I operate the TV together with a full 5.1 surround sound system. The narrow bezel looks good (in that you can barely see it) but means that the centre speaker can no longer sit just in front of the screen as it used to. I was pleased to discover that the tv speakers (essentially the screen) can be used as the middle speaker. So far this works well. perhaps not quite as good as the original mid speaker but certainly fine while I decide what needs doing, if anything. I had various devices attached to the old set to enable a degree of "smartness" and while there are some apps that Sonly do not seem to support the main ones (including for me Berlin Phil and Nat Theatre at Home) are there. It is all so much easier to operate than the old multi component system. I can control the sound system and the Blu-ray just with the tv remote (with just a few rarely used options being the exception). These are both Sony models note. Even works as as a monitor for Roon (a totally unexpected but by no means a deal breaking bonus).

My TV arrived as replacement to a broken inferior model and what an amazing gift this was! I love it so much, makes watching it such great experience. I also love the stand as it makes it very stable. Super recommended. Sony service is also so amazing.

After owning an HDTV for 20+ years, it began to fail. I talked to a few friends and did my research, went a local A/V shop and looked at the 65" A95K and was immediately sold. Not only does this TV have every kind of setting imaginable (or nearly so), but it has a spectacular picture that is just amazing to watch, especially 4K programming. Even HD programming looks so much better. I would've liked all the inputs to be 120hz-capable rather than just 2 out of the 4, but that's the only con I can think of for the A95K. If I had more wall-space available, I would've gotten the 85" model! The picture is just amazing and with the Klipsch soundbar I have, it also sounds spectacular too.

I returned this TV because of the brightness It wasn't bright enough

The TV was installed nearly two weeks ago. It replaced a 4 year old TV from a different manufacturer which had developed problems. So far we are very pleased with the new TV. The picture is very clear & the sound through the screen is far better than I had hoped. I would highly recommend this TV based on my experience.

Stunning QD OLED picture, body design, sound, accessories (TV remotes one of which lights up at night/installable camera), stand (which can be fixed in two different positions). Comes with in-built mic and gesture control. Nice UI which also allows Google TV to be added - user friendly/intuitive, screen saver called Living Decor, many custom settings available, access to Bravia Core. Faultless and sophisticated - really perfect especially for home cinema lovers (55 inch version).

I've been a Sony customer for many decades. I can say that this is the finest in-home TV display I've ever seen. It combines the best of OLED technology (blacks and shadow detail) with much of the brightness and color saturation that rivals the best LCD panels. Combined with the latest Sony image processing and motion control basic cable looks almost like Blu-ray. Streamed movies and TV series, and standard Blu-rays look extraordinary. 4K streamed Dolby Vision and 4K Blu-ray discs looks so real you are ready to crawl right into the image. You "feel" texture and color not just see it on the screen. You Tube streamed 4K-8K eye candy will put you into a trance. I can't wait to see what Sony does with this new screen technology in the next few years. This first generation of QD-OLED TVs is almost a perfect score on all counts. No wonder it was named as the best TV display of 2022 by almost every reviewer and website!

I’ve have not had this not more than week and I am not overly blown away. First there’s not enough 4K HDMI ports. Still trying to work out all the features which isn’t easy. I’m sure I’ll find more faults.

after caredully adjusting the color, particularly the BLACK balance, the image is simply stunning, every day tv shows look like films, and films look like we are in the theatre

Purchased from my local John Lewis store a couple of weeks ago. Quite a step up in quality from my old Bravia set (6 years old) I went for the best I could afford and this was my choice. Initial impressions of both picture and sound are excellent. The features and number of available apps, both free and subscription based are more than plentiful. However there are a couple of slight niggles I have. Being an older non tech guy, I find setting up to my liking and finding my way around the menus, is a fairly lengthy process of trial and error. This is where in my opinion a fully printed user manual should come with the set. Only a short abbreviated one plus a start up guide is supplied. Minor niggles I know to some. However there are helpful online guides from Sony and of course it does learn one to find their way around and learn the multi features of this particular TV set. If you are looking for a tv in this price range particularly with the discounts now being offered, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful image straight out of the box. Negative: no display/info button to view image and sound details (like Dolby Vision/Atmos).

This is first Sony Oled I’ve bought so it has been taking some searching for settings etc because of unfamiliarity. The online guide is of some help but could be improved with some more details and explanations. This set has some great functionality which allows settings to get an excellent picture and choice of audio to AV Receiver, which is my preferred route. I listened to the audio direct from the TV set and was impressed - it was very good for a flat screen. The flexibility of being able to connect the audio output as a centre speaker is a very nice feature. I do not use this as I have a central speaker in my AVR set up. May try this feature more once I have become more familiar and if it improves clarity in vocals in programmes. However this is unlikely because the current programming trend is for actors to mumble! The tv has nice clean lines whilst sitting on the provided stand when the stand is to the rear. This also allows a PS5 to be positioned at the rear and sit on the stand. The video and sound capabilities have been excellent in real use. There are two remote controllers provided, one of which has a backlit capability which can be very useful in a dark room. This same remote has voice function too which I have used to switch external inputs but sometimes find Google gets in the way, possibly I have not used correct word instruction. All in all I would highly recommend that the Sony XR65A95K be considered when looking for a new TV.

Had this TV for about 2 weeks. Struggling with the settings for this TV. One issue is when I power up the TV it turns on our AVR system which I do not want as the default audio. I want to use the TV speakers. Working with the Sony support folks they adjusted the settings and still is not working the way I want. Also I am disappointed that the picture quality is really not any better than my Pioneer 50 In. plasma that is 10+ years old. I have not messed with the settings but I wanted to plug this thing in and have it perform. Hasn't been my experience.

I wasn’t sure I needed this in my life but after half an hour of watching it I can confirm I definitely did! It really is hard to explain. As you have to see it to believe it….the picture and sound quality are exceptional and create a whole different experience to watching tv. Very pleased with the investment!

I am really happy with the quality of this tv. Only downside is the stand. I cannot think what Sony were thinking of with the design of this stand. Bought a replacement stand which suits the tv much better.

Absolutely realistic, particularly skin tones. The best sound we have heard from a TV. IT IS WORTH THE EXPENSE.
