I got these because I wanted to link them to my ps5 for the 3d sound, but they are not supported by my Sony plastation, I would have never thought Sony headphones and Sony playstation not compatible

Had the headphones for a few weeks now and am amazed at the quality and level of noise reduction - particularly when you work with a noisy colleague! Very comfortable to wear, love all the features, great sou d quality.

ANC is good. But not Great. Still unable to filter out the high pitched vacuum cleaner noise.....

Best Headphones ever, no regrets, best quality sound.

I have purchased many headphones in my time - but these are incredible- the best yet.

I went into my local electrical store with Bose on my mind but the sales dude talked me into buying these, all I can say is so far I am not disappointed. The sound is great & they are eh-zee to use.

I was as a Christmas present, I L O V E them with the music l listen to the louder the better and nothing better at cutting out the sound of the other music in the gym and listening to my favourite sounds, if l had to put a downside, they do slip on my head sometimes

Great set of headphones. The noise canceling is so good, when my wife is talking on Zoom to her sister in Canada she tends to raise her voice above normal conversational level, but these Sony headphones allow me to listen to the TV via the headphones in perfect peace and quiet. The sound quality is superb. I compared reviews of Bose and the Sony headphones, and the Sony came out best overall. I would recommend these headphones.

I bought these for my birthday as an early gift to enhance my studying experience… amazing decision! When spoken to I can cover the right ear muff to be brought back to reality or select the noise cancelling feature to completely zone out and focus!

I bought this headphone couple of weeks ago and I can surely tell that this headphone is the best headphone ever. The very smooth mat color, user-friendly, awesome sound quality, marvelous design, pure bass and especially the noise-free program work very fast and also it comes with the box which very useful for headphone safety. I would highly recommend for this product

I had the x3 which i sold recently and had them for years and they were as perfect as the day i bought them. The x4 is just as good. I never got with the swiping to move tracks or volume etc - i don't think its an efficient way and its easy to stop the music or carry out another function. I've only had the x4 for a few weeks but as of now really good.

I bought this less than one month ago. Used about five times. No longer able to charge it, so totally useless.

These headphones worked as intended and I feel did a great job cancelling noise and worked great for music and online meetings for work which was my biggest use. However after two months they broke placing them on my head. No, I don't have a big head and I wasn't rough with them. They appear to have a weak spot in them. maybe they fixed this with the newer version. As you can see by the photo I had probably only put them on my head about 30 times.

I've only had these 'phones for a couple of weeks and have listened to classical music and the soundtracks of steamed movies. Incredibly comfortable even when wearing glasses for a couple of hours at a time. My previous AKG units served me well for a number of years and I was very happy with them, so I was not expecting much of an improvement with these Sony units even though the great reviews promised me that they would be better. The reviews were not wrong: I have left the settings as delivered as the sound is so natural with beautiful balance. The ability of the unit to cancel out external sounds is uncanny. Not cheap by any means but worth every penny! I am absolutely delighted with my short acquaintance with these and will experiment with its range of features as time goes by.

I bought this in January as a treat to myself as my old beats solo was all beat up. These are the finest headphones I've ever owned. At the age of fifty-four, I've had a considerable amount of headphones in my lifetime. These are outstanding and have flawless sound quality for an aging old soul.

I bought these headphones to use at work where I spray cars in a booth that has a very noisy extraction wall. I have another pair of wired Sony headphones that I bought for air travel several years ago, and these worked well but the wires got in the way and I had to use them at a high volume level to hear my music. After a bit of research into over-the-ear ANC headphones I decided to get these and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I use them all day pretty much and they not only work exceptionally well to remove the drone of the extraction fans, but they are comfortable to wear and battery life is amazing. I listen to radio stations via their apps and music on Spotify and from both sources I’m discovering parts to tracks I’ve listened to for years but have never heard before, and this in an environment that you have to shout to be heard! Quite simply these are the best audio product I’ve ever purchased and can’t recommend them highly enough. Now I’m looking forward to trying them the next time I fly long haul!

Brought as a replacement for award winning Grado headphones that sounded great, but these are on another level. So comfortable to wear over long periods and battery life is very good. The link to the app is good when setting up.

A work colleague put a pair of these on my head and they just blew me away so much I had to buy them, I put them mainly for my Train journey to drown out passengers talking and boy what a pleasant surprise. I could see mouths opening but I could hear nothing. No talking no Train noise, fantastic. Comfy, sound is excellent, battery lasts for 2/3 days. Best Headphones I have brought, and I have had a lot of Headphones in my time. I only hope one they make them waterproof. Thanks Sony you made a good product.

Great for long hours flight and it is able to connect to the flight entertainment with the given adapters. Great for daily use as well.

These were bought for travelling and have not disappointed! Great sound quality balanced with supreme comfort!

After owning these headphones for just under 2 weeks I’ve given them a real test with various genres of music and film soundtracks. Sound is detailed and bass not too muddy. The battery life is outstanding and these cans are very comfortable indeed with my ears not getting hot snd the clamping force just right . Touch controls work well and the noise cancellation is very good for the money . One feature I ,like press the power button once to hear the battery level The case is the right size as theee headphone fold away nicely . Design wise these aren’t too flash , black with a bit of rose gold for the Sony logo . If you want top quality cans with outstanding sound these are worth the outlay

I bought this product about one month ago. Everything is great, except one thing.... It is right earmuff, it's clicking when i walking outside.... I mean, that when i walking through a street, it's jumping on my head, and earmuffs construction is moving; It's why clicking sounds! All other things are great!

A fantastic sound, great add on features, good quality build too. Probably just me but the buds don’t fit comfortably into the ears (despite different options being provided) always a background noise, whatever settings I choose.

Good set of headphones but latency is not great for live music production - otherwise great

I work on a machine alone all day. This machine is very noisy, but when I use these headphones, I only hear the music. Sometimes I don't listen to music, I just want silence. I turn on the headphones without music and enjoy the immense silence. Ever since I got this headphone, I wear it all day at work and forget that it's on my head, it's very light, very comfortable. My wife calls me several times during work. At that moment, the headset switches to phone mode and we talk almost noiselessly next to the noisy machine. So I love it and I'm glad I bought it!!!!

Received yesterday and now fully connected to iPhone and LG television. Just what I wanted. Great sound and noise cancellation.

These headphones were purchased for an upcoming long-distance trip overseas. To date, headphones have only been used at home and audio quality has been excellent. Have dropped a star because controls are too reliant on intuition. I can't remember/understand how to get some features to work, since many are activated by the same button. The designers have targeted users that are already familiar with the interface. Also, the swipe up/down for volume may work for many users, but I find myself skipping tracks because the interface thinks I've swiped forward/back. Let's see whether my technique improves with experience.

I was gifted these headphones by my son for my 82nd birthday – best ever birthday present. Headphones produce excellent sound at all frequencies, are very comfortable, and have superb noise cancelling facilities. As a first-time user it took a little while to familiarise myself with the requisite gestures, but once learned all good. The associated app provides a range of fine-tuning possibilities, which I am still exploring.

I previously had Bose QC15's and needed a new set of headphones. The XM4's are fantastic, the NC is superb, the ambient mode is brilliant for conversations, and you can use it turned off with the detachable cable. The sound quality is amazing and can be customised from the Sony app. The headphones are fairly hot but it's what you get used to, I do wish they were more breathable though

Upgraded to these recently. The quality is obviously great, but they're big. Even on the smallest size setting they don't fit snug and sometimes fall off at the gym. Also when I just press the top down to readjust them, out of nowhere the music stops playing or the song restarts, even though I haven't touched any buttons. Also they're bad for cardio, as the vibration of every step you take creates a kind of "whomp" sound. Overall good but expected better for the price

Bought this for my daughter for doing good in school and she couldn’t be happier. Sound is amazing and true to its description. She even let me try it and surely it was just so great.

I’ve had the MX3 for 3 years, bought to cancel out noisy neighbours. I love them but wanted to be able to connect to the phone and laptop/ TV. The MX5 don’t seem to have the same level of noise cancelling, they are also not as comfortable, so I down graded to these. And I’m my favourite colour Navy too. I couldn’t be happier. I now have one pair for home and one for travelling. They are magic in the train or on a plane and I arrive feeling far more refreshed than I otherwise would.

Mon ancien casque Sony avait un problème et on l'a envoyé en réparation, au lieu de ça on nous a donné un coupon d'échange de 80 pour en reprendre un. Au final vu que Sony ne fait plus le modèle que j'avais on a du entrouver un nouveau. On a décidé d'en prendre un plus chère pour mon anniversaire. Finalement pour le prix je m'attendais à un son vraiment incroyable. Cela faisait pas mal de temps que je n'avais pas de casque, donc je n'ai pas d'élément de comparaison pour être sûr. Mais sinon le casque est de bonne qualité mais cela vaut pas le coup si vous avez déjà le MX3 car la différence ne vaut pas le changement

I bought these headphones about 5 months ago and they’re pretty good! The only issue I have is that sometimes the audio will randomly stop and start. I have tried to fix this by switching to “focus on stability” rather than “focus on quality” in settings but this issue still occurs. Aside from this, they are very comfortable and sound great.

Easy to set up with various items. Found myself more immersed in sound than when listening via a speaker.

I have had these for about 2 weeks now. The battery life is great and it easily lasts me a few days before I have to charge it (but that's not continuous use). I wear them in the gym and the noise cancellation is great. Easy to connect to my phone and laptop at the same time but can only listen to one at a time. To switch between the devices you have to stop play in 1 device then press play in the second device.

I can't believe how good these are. Great design, nice compact carry pouch, comfortable to wear. Can be used with a cable which is needed at times depending on device Bluetooth latency; lag between devices can be irritating in some situations. They do let out a fair bit of sound so if you listen to your stuff loud, just be aware that others in the room (or even in the next room) may hear. I do sometimes need a rest from these, so an hour or so can sometimes make my head feel under pressure, kinda like when descending rapidly in a plane. These represent great value for money, the sound is sublime. One of few products that brings a smile to my face even after over a year of use. Novelty usually wears off before now, but not with these. Superb.

I purchased these so that I could listen to programs whilst my wife talks to her friends and family on the phone. We both agree that neither of us disturbs the other whilst I am using them. I was initially annoyed that I had to turn on Bluetooth on the hifi and TV but was delighted to find - by accident that switching on the head phones automatically connected to the device. So far I am delighted with my purchase as they do not "cook" my ears whilst in use.
