This video describes the personalised setup of 360 Reality Audio, an immersive sound experience by Sony.

A 360 Reality Audio logo is displayed on a black background, followed by an animated illustration of a woman wearing headphones. A voiceover describes the difference between conventional stereo sound and 360 Reality Audio. When listening to conventional stereo sound, sound icons are depicted inside the woman’s head. The camera view widens to demonstrate listening to 360 Reality Audio sound, with the sound icons arranged in a 360-degree sphere all around the woman, expressing the more immersive sound experience.

The video transitions to an animation on a white background, of sound reflecting inside a square room to reach a seated listener. The voiceover explains how the size of the room and the reflection of the walls affect the listening experience. An illustration of the side of a person’s head and his or her ear accompanies an explanation about how the shape of the ear may also influence the perception of sound.

Returning to the woman wearing headphones, the voiceover describes the process of creating an individual hearing profile.

From here, the steps to enjoy personalised, immersive experience are explained one by one. First, on a black background, the logos of the Sony | Sound Connect app and the 360 Reality Audio Live app are displayed, prompting the viewer to install both apps. Next, the UI screen of the Sony | Sound Connect app is shown explaining that, after connecting your Sony headphones, you should follow the steps in the 360 Reality Audio Setup section of the app to select your own sound preferences from a series of A/B variations. The app screen then switches to an illustration of a woman’s face, indicating a hearing profile has been created.

After your personalised hearing profile is created, the voiceover explains how to listen to sample and other content in the 360 Reality Audio Live app, which is briefly shown.

The video ends with photos of headphones from various manufacturers that support either this experience, or a personalised ear-scanning process, to create a hearing profile, then the 360 Reality Audio motion logo and the Sony animated logo.
