Purchased to complete my set up of Sony Bravia TV and Sony Theatre System and I am so pleased with it

Great player picture is awesome I also have a 4K Sony TV and it matches perfect

I've had this player for some time and when it comes to playing new 4K disc it freezes during playback. Very frustrating!

Has all features we need to enjoy watching movies from our library and village book sales

I bought this product many years ago and it still works well and is easy to use

Undoubtedly a greatest soundbar and powerful subwoofer performance that I ever bought.

Brought the newer version which was cheaper, but still not as good as this model from 2018.... Unless you go up to the £300 + mark...this is the best one...even the cheaper Panasonic wasn't as good.

Good product that can still play DVD and CD. My mum had some old CD she wanted to watch and this worked really well. Even has some apps that comes along with it which is a plus and have USB input and Bluetooth too! Price is good too! Very good buy.. Hard to find players that plays DVD and blue ray now. This is a good buy indeed!

I got this Blu-Ray Player as i was after one that played Ultra 4K HDR DVDS and Blu-Ray Discs and after buying this one and pairing it with my new hisense 4k Tv i was very happy that i can play my films i have.

The UPB-X700 player has a sleek design which will match most audio visual equipment. Standard Blu-Ray discs give excellent colour, audio and picture detail. DVD's also display well and the ability to upscale is definitely a bonus feature. All in all - a perfect addition to my Sony Bravia TV.

I bought this 30/03/2025 for it WiFi connection and to play my dvd and to smart up my TV .but it's not have a lots of app more apps please

I purchased a Sony 4k Blu-ray for the family room and it provides a great picture whether they're regular DVD's or Blu-ray DVD's. We liked it so much we purchased a 2nd one for the other TV. I recommend this product.

Arrived and couldn't play any disks, called Sony who referred me to a local 3rd party repair centre (who don't repair Blu-ray players), who referred me to Sony who referred me to the 3rd party repair centre (because their system says they'll fix it)

It’s early days but easy to set up, superb picture and excellent sound quality. A very nice machine which does the job very well.

I bought this due to the fact that my ps5 is unable to read created UHD discs for my vacation videos. this is a player which supports alot of disc formats ranging from audio cd, SACD,DVD,etc.. plus with hi res file support via usb port in the front. i think is a good bargain. provided you had a 4K but they do perform well even with a HD player.

Great features and simple operations. A little pricey but given features it justifies the cost. Slim profile and stealthy design.

Have used it on 4k and other DVD’s with excellent results. Plays back everything perfectly.

This is a stylish player and smaller than you think. Very easy to set up and the picture and sound are first class. Highly recommended.

I bought this a month ago so far so good good good good

Easy to set up and use, good quality picture and sound and a smaller footprint to fit wherever you want it to go. Only minus point is that it runs via an adaptor box (supplied), it does not plug straight into the wall so after saving space on the unit itself, you then need to find extra room to accommodate the power supply unit.

I bought this last month and plugged it into my Sony Bravia TV and was easy to get started with. I set this player up to output in the format of whatever was playing and the tv takes care of any upscaling. I also had to make sure the tv was set up for Blu-ray Discs which meant turning off most of the settings on the tv! The player starts up quickly and is not laggy when telling it what to do. It’s quiet as well and doesn’t have a glowy display (just 1 green led) so not intrusive. I think it can be used as a browser and apps can be played on this like a massive fire stick so would work well with a non-smart tv.

This 4k blue ray player is the best I have ever purchased. I am a Sony fan through and through!

Clearly the picture and audio quality were very good. Loading is a tad slow, can make it faster thru firmware update. Only region A and code 3 can be used on this machine. Hence I have to throw away lots of code 1 DVD. Hope next firmware upgrade can made the machine region or code free. Minimally code free.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far it's been very good. Nice and compact too.

Like I mention before. .can't play few disc mean original...but when play when purchased from Taobao third party disc can play smoothly

I've been putting off buying a 4K ultra player for a while as films are expensive. My old pioneer blu-ray player was getting louder and slower, so I decided to replace it with this one. The blu-ray picture is improved on this one, but 4K Ultra discs look and sound absolutely amazing! I'm just buying them 2nd hand. Highly recommended

Plays old DVD movies good. And Blu-ray ones. Gotta try my 4k movies.

Upgraded my Sony blu- ray with UBP-X700 Ultra HD Blu-ray/DVD player. However the experience has not been great . The player sometimes paused on it’s own always 3/4 into the movie . I checked firmware update and did a reset. Hope that fixes it . The old Blu-ray player played fine from day one !

I prefer this new option. It is more responsive and loads faster. It also has an on-screen display showing the remaining movie time and whether the sound is in DTS or Dolby.

Pretty basic bit of kit. Works straight out of the box. Easy to link to Wi-Fi. Shame there aren't more installed apps. It seems impossible to install extras.

Plays Blu Rays fine but half of the 4K discs I have tried freeze during playback between 30-60 minutes in. Have cleaned discs, made sure software is updated, reset the player and unplugged and restarted many times to no effect. I can see that this is a common problem from reviews.

Approx. 8 years ago I purchased a SONY 65" 4K BRAVIA TV. It always had a good picture but I hadn't purchased a 4K Blue Ray player until now. I put a 4K movie in and the picture is amazing. So crisp and clear. At $159.00, it's a steal!

Audio and video from VERY LIMITED STREAMING CONTENT, Blu-ray Disc (BD) and Ultra HD BD is very good. Don't plan on using this as your only streaming device and/or hook it up to a smart tv because number of apps available on UBP-X700 is VERY LIMITED. Please see photo "All Apps" available and yes I did software update on UBP-X700 before I took this picture on 11/06/2024.

Disappointing ... BBC have dropped support for the iplayer app.

I bought this in August and generally very happy. One thing which would improve it is if it could connect to the net to retrieve track listings when playing an audio CD. Apart from this, it's very good.

I've upgraded to a Sony 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player form my previous Samsung Blu-ray/DVD Player and wow what a difference... amazing colour and much better sound. Easy to install with options.

I spoke to support to verify this player will work on my new 65" OLED 4K TV. The advisor on the chat said yes, I went back on the chat at Sony support and asked the same question, the other operator said yes it will play 3D films on your new TV. It arrived, I set it up followed all instructions and quess qhat NO it will not play Blu ray 3D films. I arranged a return. I spoke to Richer sounds where I bought my new TV from a few days ago, they said there is no way it will play 3D blu ray films. I should of asked Richer sounds first before I wasted my time and money on this useless product.
