Understanding your TV's model name
It may look like your TV model name consists of an arbitrary set of letters and numbers, but there is a certain logic behind it.
Each model contains 3 segments which can help you identify key information about your TV.
The 3 parts are:
2K (KDL) or 4K (KD) |

NOTES:
- When searching for general information on the support site, please use the model name
- Here are some examples of correct model names: KD-55X8507C, KDL-32EX710 and KLV-40NX520
How to check your model name
- On the TV's original packaging and user manual
- On the product sticker
- In the TV's user settings
The model name is normally found on the sticker located at the back of the TV, or engraved on the front panel of the TV. Please be aware that the model and serial numbers are different:
- Model name
- Serial number
In the TV's user settings
Option A - Sony's Android TV (software version 3.533 or earlier):
- Press the HOME button on the remote
- Select [Settings] > [TV] > [About] > [Device name] > [System information]
Option B - Sony's Android TV (software version 3.843 or later):
- Press the Help button on the remote
- Select [System information]
Option C - For non-Android TVs:
- Press the HOME button on the remote
- Select [Help] or [Settings] > [Customer Support] the model name will appear at the top right-hand corner of the screen
NOTE: Steps may differ depending on the model and software version.
