Amazing TV, quality and sound just perfect, CINEMA at Home!!!

I hope other buyers will find this very honest review useful. I don’t want this to sound like a bragging exercise because it isn’t, but I have the latest Samsung in the bedroom, the latest LG oled in our lounge and this new Sony EXR in the kitchen, the TV itself cosmetically is extremely nice if not as thin as the latest LG oled, but that didn’t concern me as I wasn’t, aiming for the design of the TV itself, I was very interested in how it would perform against a top end Samsung LED and very high-end LG.0led, and the reality is this is by far a better TV than any Samsung LED in my personal opinion, and if you feed it the right content, is easily as good as my LG oled, which is truly remarkable at the price point, the local dimming works brilliantly. Perhaps not as scientifically perfect as the blacks delivered by Lead, but boy is it impressive for the price, I would caveat that and say the TV is less than perfect with SDR content But I have found that to be the case with most high-end panels, but when the Sony is fed quality 4K footage, like the type you get from built in Bravia, core service which you get free credits for. Thanks Sony unexpected bonus, the TV comes to life and gives extraordinary blacks and beautiful colour and is astonishingly bright. , and my wife and child are the absolute polar opposite, but the first time we all watched the Sony using Bravia core. Everybody commented on the IMAX experience being just stunning. . If LG and Samsung ruled the roost for the last five or so years, that’s over now, Sony is back

If you prefer using the TV with full function, you need to buy a Premium Remote, I already pay double price with same 65 inch level, that I receive the idiots TV Remote

I purchased the tv 2 weeks ago and was very easy to set up. The tv integrated well with my other products including my Sony sound bar, Sony Blu-ray, Sky Q and Apple TV. Picture quality is excellent. Having the option to fit the feet to fit on my existing stand was also great.

I bought this a month ago, and my family is very pleased with it for the picture and sound quality. 2 setbacks: (1) when got from Harvey the SONY movies free access not provided where this is packaged in Courts for even a lower price. (2) still no new on the gift on sony webcam

Bought this few weeks ago for gaming on ps5, picture is crystal clear and sound is so good, I don't use the sound bar any more. Netflix with picture collaboration is excellent.

Recently bought this Sony Bravia TV. Really pleased with it. Loads of apps & features. Picture quality is fantastic. Definitely needs a sounbar to enjoy the sound. Would highly recommend

So, I do not like buying new technology. That last TV I owned (prior to this purchase) was from 2004 and even that was a hand-me-down I got in 2007. But I went all out and bought this new TV because I knew an upgrade was WAY past time. And...I was not disappointed. This TV is great and not very complicated. I managed to hook up 3 game systems and multiple streaming services without having to read a manual. The sound and picture are perfect. The TV itself is light and had lots of ports. If I had any complaint it would be small and related to the remote. It did take me some time to figure out the commands. But overall, I'm extremely happy with my TV purchase!

I changed my mini led tv to this one as that one was broken after 4 month of usage. That was a tcl. Unfortunately with Sony I knew it will be pricier but I wanted to try if it worth the extra cost. Let me tell you... The overall experience is amazing. The user interface is so good. I didn't know that a simple full array led can be that good. The sound quality is not that good though. I really miss the built in mic from it. I really used to the ok Google feature. I never knew HDR is that good. When I had it on my tcl I thought it is just a gimmick. Now I can see the difference.

I bought the TV last week and very happy with it. The Bravia Cam is a useful added feature.

I bought the “WOW” over 2 months ago and we are still learning new features that amaze us. So many options, so many discoveries, and so much great TV that it’s the number one addition to our family

Got this as a replacement for another Sony TV which had a hardware fault. Replaced the day 5 yr warranty ran out. I expect a tv to last longer than 5 yrs when it cost £1700, replaced with this, a £1000 tv. Had it 5 weeks then noticed screen has shadows and a grey area, Asked to replace but told my warranty ran out. Consumer credit Act does not seem to exist to Sony who refused to replace for free.I will never buy a Sony product again. Very poorly made product

I love my Bravia TV, the support for Apple Home plus the easy to use modern operating system is great. I especially like the Camera which allows me to control my TV with gestures and helps optimize the viewing experience. The Colors are sharp and the blacks are dark, and everything renders smoothly even in action. Would recommend

Fantastic TV, does what it says on the box , set it up with my ps5 , and my gaming experience has gone through the roof. The colours are beautiful. Highly recommended TV.

I’ve had this TV for a couple of months now, long enough to provide a decent review. To describe my situation, I have it wall mounted (that was a HUGE undertaking), and connected to several peripheral devices. (Xfinity Cable box, Blue-Ray, FireTV 4k stick, and a JBL Bar 9.1 soundbar.) The remote is missing essential buttons to make it useful as an ‘all-in-one’ remote. To begin with, there are no “Fast Forward” or “Reverse” buttons. Those are necessary to use most cable DVR boxes effectively, as well as the FireTV that’s built into the TV. So, you can log into your Amazon account and watch FireTV, but you will not be able to fast forward or reverse, so to me, the app and remote that came with the TV are completely useless. A HUGE fail for Sony in my mind. The next thing it’s missing is the Record button, so you can use it to record DVR things on your cable box. I wouldn’t mention this, but the TV actually pairs itself to your cable box, so it seems like it should have all the necessary buttons. Nope. Additionally, the menu options for DVR and VOR, and all the other items on the paired Xfinity 4k Cable Box didn’t work, except the Guide button and channel buttons. There is no way to pull up the Xfinity main screen, to access recorded programs, so it’s pretty useless to me, and I’m forced to use my Xfinity/Comcast box remote. It’s the largest ISP in the US, so if it “pairs” properly with anything, you’d think it would be Xfinity’s boxes. FAIL again. The TV itself is crazy heavy, and although the mount I bought was for a 150lb TV, it still seems feeble under the load of this enormous TV. And here’s something concerning… the back of the TV’s Vesa mount is 400x400. That’s really small for a TV this size, AND the screws are M6 instead of M8. Even Sony’s website says that for a TV this size the Vesa mount should be minimum 400x800 or 800x1200, and the bolts should be M8. I was (okay, I still am) seriously concerned about the feeble Vesa mount on this TV. The electronic setup process was painless, except that I don’t like that Google is involved, and of course they want to know everything about you. Your exact address, your phone number, your email address, and access to everything on your home network. That information was somehow sold or traded immediately, and before I even got finished setting up the TV, and I was getting Spam on my unused Google email account. I’ve had the account for more than 5 years, with zero spam until then. I miss the days when a TV was just a TV, and didn’t harvest and sell your life for a few cents. My JBL BAR 9.1 soundbar works flawlessly, and I did nothing to set it up except plug it into the HDMI 3 eARC slot. Likewise, every other peripheral device I plugged in was recognized and functions properly, and completely automatically. (FireTV, Sony Blue Ray player, and Comcast/Xfinity box (except the button problem above)). I thought I’d like all the available apps, but as I said above, the lack of necessary buttons on the Sony remote control that comes with this renders it all but useless. I also really dislike that Disney, Netflix, and others have their own buttons. Completely unnecessary, and Sony should have used that space for useful buttons, as listed above. The great news is that the picture, is AWESOME. This TV is REALLY bright and crisp, and can be used in the brightest rooms. There is an easy-to-access 3-position control for brightness, so you don’t have to fumble with actual numbers. Dimming is automatic (if you so choose), but additionally there are 3 settings for overall brightness, and we love that. Sometimes at night you want to reduce the brightness, and those 3 settings are perfect for that. There is one anomaly that we noticed, and it’ll probably cause you a bit of a scare. My wife and I have been in bed in another room, and we regularly (like every night) hear the TV turn itself on for a second or two, then off again. It will do that once or twice a night, and we haven’t figured out why. Other than the sadly unusable remote, and that one anomaly, we love the TV. Hope this helps.

Picture is beyone my expectations absolutely amazed by it in all honesty. Sound is amazing. cannot fault this tv in the slightest. So easy to use just everything about it is perfect for me.

Always been a SONY NO BALONEY CONSUMER. 7 years ago we bought another brand and gave our Sony Bravia to our son. The other brand died a month ago and went back to Sony. The Sony we gave to our son still alive and kicking at 20 years now

The TV is easy to install and configure and everything esle is great.

Happy with whole over all experience with TV. Navigating and picture are both very good.

Picture is good sound is really strong compared to our old tv. Minor gripes are the main metal remote, although very tactile, is more difficult to use than the plastic back up. I am still trying to figure out if I can get cefax, old fashioned but great to check news quickly in a morning. Instructions supplied are very basic.

The picture quality is as advertised, what is so annoying for the price of this "smart TV" is that it jump out of the source input that you are in??? The TV powers off by itself and the worse problem is that the entire screen disappears (the audio continues) and their is a half inch line that runs down on the left side of the TV???

I’m really impressed by this TV. I reviewed, researched, and actually viewed many other brands but I chose Sony because the colors are brilliant without the harsh glare that others use to enhance their poop quality. I can watch this TV for hours without my eyes hurting because the background blacks are True Tone yet colors are more realistic. I do however, recommend a compatible sound bar for the finishing touch. Thank you Sony for keeping up your number one quality.

I received my X90k from Sony as a replacement for X90A. The X90K will freeze and lose internet connect at times I have to unplug to reset, since it won't turn off

Upgraded from a 15 year old panasonic plasma . That had great picture . I just wanted to upgrade . Did not want to go with oled after having plasma for years . I truly love the pic on this sony though . It's bright enough for sure and on 4k it has a great picture . It's a very good mid grade tv . And I wanted sony quality

I bought this in January after looking at all of the different models out there. I had a Sony Bravia from 2008 that was still working, but the speakers had started to crackle. I love the brightness of this tv and the minute details that you can see. I upgraded from a 48" to a 65" and it is like having a movie theatre in your home. I have hooked it up to my Bose soundbar and works wonderfully. The only thing that is lacking was a manual to explain all of the different settings.

Great TV except for the software bug of display going black occasionally. Software fix for this issue was done, but it still happens. I need to go into the settings and reboot. I have given this product high reviews, but currently would not recommend it until this issue is fixed.

The capability of this product to do photo recognition ,audio , collecting information on us is not what I bargained for….. had I known I never would’ve bought it

Best tv I’ve ever owned fantastic features most realistic color compared to its competitors clear crisp vivid sound is always in sync with picture no complaints . The only things that would make it even better is tv is heavier than the two mfrs I was considering and the remote control is much to confusing and can be frustrating to use .

Purchased this tv in Late November 2022, only regret is I didn’t spend an extra 300.00 to get the next 90 model up… game play is awesome picture is fantastic. Compared to the Samsung q90 it lacks a bit in quality but not merry much as I said before the next model up would be the same as the Samsung q90 on quality and blackness

I specifically got this TV to go with my PS5 because it supports the VVR. Pair that with Sony's Sound bar HT-a7000 with the SA-RS5 Wireless rear speakers, and this is a POWERHOUSE! gaming and home theater has never been so seamless before! Absolutely love it!

With so many input options, I was able to hook up all my stuff.

Bought this about a month ago, and the TV everyday goes black with the sound still playing. The only way to get the picture back is to restart the TV.

My second Sony. My only complaint is no info button on the remote.

I bought this about a month ago and it has been wall mounted and set up for 3 weeks. It replaced my 20+ year old 60" Bravia tv. While the picture was still good on my old tv, this was such a big improvement! The picture is much brighter and sharper. This tv has som many improvements and new features. I love it. But it is not without a few negatives. Prime TV has its own button on the remote, which is great. But when I select something to watch from Prime, there is an annoying 15 second delay before the show starts. On my old set with my android box, the delay was about a second. When I fast forward or rewind, there is about a 10 second delay before the picture starts. It is great that you can get your manual on screen, but there is no paper manual. The on screen manual is pretty good, but it is not comprehensive. You have to go to the internet to find out how to use other features. I still have not found any info on the voice remote control. Lastly, the remote has only about 20 buttons on it. No numbers, no backlight, no fast forward, no rewind (there is a way to get numbers on the screen and to ffwd and rew on the screen). I have read that a better remote is available with higher priced models, but I would think that this model ($1700) should have the best remote. All in all, we are still very happy with this TV.

This TV is all you could want in performance and quality.

I bought this tv in December. I have been a loyal Sony tv user for several years because the sound and picture is great. This tv has me a bit nervous. My screen split into 2 screens, my screen went black and the tv froze up a couple of times. I had to reboot my tv all times to get it to go away.

We purchased our Bravia about 6 weeks ago. Great sound, excellent picture quality, easy to use remote control. Simply quality in all aspects.

I bought this the first week of December and very pleased with the purchase. I researched for a new TV for a long time and honed the search down to 3 Sony models. My gut told me to go with the Sony 55" Bravia XR LED model and I am very happy with the choice.

I purchased this TV last month as our our family chirstmas gift, best family gift ever!

I’m very happy with this TV although I’ve only had it for 2 months. The Full Array LED is what I needed for my living room which at times is subject to very bright sunlight due to very large windows. I was prepared to buy an OLED but the sales associate recommended this because of the lighting conditions and he was absolutely correct. I really like this Sony as do others who have watched movies and sporting events. Highly recommended.
