This video explores how ULT POWER SOUND series speakers deliver a powerful and clear sound experience through collaboration with acclaimed sound creators. To achieve a rich bass and powerful sound experience, Sony engaged with various creators to discuss the sound while developing the new ULT POWER SOUND series.

 

The video begins with the words “It sounds great” and “That’s incredible” from Grammy-nominated producer Dot Da Genius. Simultaneously, the ULT POWER SOUND series logo and the word “Creators” appear on screen.

 

The first creator to visit the studio, where three speakers of different sizes are set up, is record producer, songwriter, and DJ Dready. After listening to music through the three speakers, he says:

“They all sound incredible.”

“When you first turned on that speaker, I was looking over here somewhere, thinking it was a bigger speaker playing because of the size of it.”

“I’m impressed with how it doesn’t get distortion. It’s just very clean, no matter what level. That’s why I turned it down super low.”

 

Next, audio engineer and producer Dennis “ROC.am” Jones appears. After listening to music on the speakers, he comments:

“I mean, you guys nailed, you know, sound. The best thing is the imaging. I love how wide it sounds. It sounds big. It sounds huge. If you have a good balance, when you hear loud, it’s going to be good no matter what.”

 

Next, Award-winning drummer, producer, and musical director Daru Jones appears. After performing an impressive drum session, he moves to the rhythm of the music playing through the speaker and says:

“It sounds full. You can hear everything. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. You know how you would have to have a speaker to the left and to the right hand? That sounded like you’re still getting the experience from just this one in the center.”

 

The final creator to appear is Grammy-nominated producer Dot Da Genius. After greeting the Sony team, he listens to music playing from the speaker with his eyes closed, bobbing his head to the rhythm. He says:

“Balance was great because you have a bigger frame, you’re able to add the components to really handle the bass specifically. That’s incredible. This is how music should be heard.”

He then says, “Great work guys,” before leaving.

  

The video closes with the “For The MUSIC” logo, followed by the animated Sony logo.
