Very happy with purchase great price for display unit

Overall great picture and very nice TV. The factory sound is great for TV speakers. However, I've had the TV a few months now and it has frozen several times. The remote will not work or anything, just a frozen screen. I have to unplug the TV from the back and have it reboot. This is very disappointing.

Shocking. Wasted my time and money going to and from currys 3 times to exchange a broken bravia for yet another damaged bravia. So I have returned the second broken TV and received a refund. I now have a much better LG TV that is not broken to start with!!

I bought the TV a couple of months ago and I just love it. Such a step up from the Samsung we had previously. The colours are rich but not overblown and once you have it 'tweaked' to your liking its awesome. Another winner from Sony at a great price.

I bought this TV one month ago and very satisfied that I could watch the ECL matches.

Our new Sony tv is great picture is magnificent and sound very good easy to get around on really pleased with my puchace.

Installed my new Bravia A80K last night (a very simple install it was too - helped by the prompts on the screen.) The picture quality is awesome with real deep black and vivid colours. I was upgrading from an LG 55" LED 4K TV - which was working well and had a "good picture" - but after seeing the Sony OLED screen I realised just what I'd been missing ! I chose to not use the supplied feet, as I had a very good VESA stand which was simple to fit to the Sony (they supplied some stud mounts along with all the kit you'd need - including two remotes - the simpler of which is very intuative to use) Overall I am delighted with my choice and can thoroughly recommend the Sony XR-55A80K to anyone looking for a fairly priced OLED TV. :-)

Good TV especially with the added Google TV features. The color of the TV is good. Like a mini movie theater at my hone.

This is a fantastic OLED TV which I purchased due to returning a faulty LG OLED TV. The Sony is by far a much better TV compared to the LG and works seamlessly with my PS5 console.

Bought it about 2 weeks ago. Everything is good as a Bravia is expected. Was disappointed that the sales person misled me to believe that it comes with a 1 year free subscription for Netflix. This is bad for the Sony brand. The brand and the product could have gotten a 5 Star. The brand is as good as the staff.

I read a few reviews and waited until I saw the 2021 model at the price point I wanted. It was really worth the wait- contrast and picture are first class. Sound is excellent but I will be investigating in a sound bar next.

I had an old Sony 4K television that had dated technology, and could not keep up with the PS5. While in Best Buy, they had a outstanding deal I could not refuse on the Sony A80K 55”! I bought it, and after 3 days of clearing space for it, I set it up, and man has it been an experience. If you’re looking at an OLED or LED, just do your homework, because Sony has a television on both ends of the spectrum that will accommodate your wants and needs. My only complaint with this television is the remote! The better Sony remote is sold in A90K units or better. The difference is those models have the remote with the backlit keys, and the remote finding feature. You can buy the remote from either Sony or Amazon, but it is pricy for such a small remote. Lastly if you have a PS5, you can use your SONY television remote to control the homescreen on the PS5. Also I have to add, this television has magnificent sound, and is very loud indeed! Once you get a Sony soundbar setup to compliment this television, it will only add to the already premium sound you get from this television!

Run off Android for TV, which forces you to have a Google account then shows you a first line of 'adverts' for shows you might want to watch on Pay TV channels you aren't subscribed for - for this price I want the TV to show me what I want to see, not to be a way for Google to advertise to me. Also good luck claiming the 'free' Extended Warranty - it's an absolute farce - took about 5 emails and 2 weeks to get them to correct all the mistakes in the process / documents (the final document still had mistakes in it). Will never buy Sony again.

I have upgraded from a KDL 40z4500 which at the time was the best but the new XR knocks spots off that with the quality of the picture and sound

I have always wanted a Sony Bravia for it's amazing picture quality. And after buying this one, I can say that I was right to wish for one. Great picture quality (feels natural) and not unnaturally sharp. The TV sound itself is great and quite loud to fill the whole room. Great software features.

After watching so many professional reviews and testing many products (including the Samsung S95B), I settled with the Sony Bravia A84K Bravia from Sony. If you are looking for depth, detail and clarity and the best operating system that a TV has to offer under £1500, then look no further than the Sony A84K.

Straightforward to set up with superb UHD / HDR picture. Only small difficulty was locating the on off switch. This was done with the online customer Sony help

I had the A80K for almost 1 month now and I am yet to dig into all functionality, but overall it is a very good mid/high range OLED TV. I currently use it in a brightly lit room, so it’s marginally less vivid than a micro LED but still a great image on several of the settings i tried (especially impressed by watching IMAX enhanced movies, but strangely i found that these seem better quality on Disney+ compared to BRAVIA CORE despite the supposedly better bit rate of the BRAVIA CORE streaming service, but it could be my personal preference or the fact that I didn’t “tweak” the setting enough to get the best out of the TV. One of the reasons I decided to go for this model (apart from SONY’s reputation for quality) is the audio/sound which is marginally/almost as good as a decent sound bar…I still think that eventually I will opt for a sound bar, but not because of the power, of which this unit has plenty, but the spacial/surround effects are not as evident for ATMOS effects as you would get from a dedicated sound bar or system. That being said, it is the best sound quality I had on any TV I owned or heard so far, so really good job for a TV to pack this much sound quality as standard. Another feature I was impressed with, is the Google TV ease of use and learning capability; it already has a very intuitive menu with suggestions tailored to what I watched recently, from being able to quickly pick up where I left off on the various streaming services to suggestions for content. Overall, I am happy with the choice I made and hope to enjoy the features for many years to come(without image bleeding issues as I experienced on my living room LG 2019 model).

I change my 'Panels' about every 2 years, this time I ran well over that 2 year slot thinking that my 65,805 Philips was the ultimate and that loosing the Ambilite facility would matter this panel is something else the loss of that facility is little to what I have gained with the A80K. As with all TV panels and despite the audio tech with this device I would want to view additional audio back up. Any rate well done Sony.

I upgraded to this 65” model after a lot of research and speaking with the teams at John Lewis And Currys. I absolutely love this TV. Its a 26kg, 65” of perfection. We have a large living room wall and 65” set in perfectly against the space. I had seen LG and Samsung TVs at friend’s places 55-65” and was impressed. Then on my research I figured the OLED panels are made by LG for all brands. I was inclined to buy LG but then tried to do some more research. Conclusion- 1. Sony’s Bravia processor makes all the difference to extract maximum out of the equipment. The picture quality is much better than LG and Samsung on same config. 2. Online videos - Netflix and Amazon and Youtube are processed much better before being put on screen. LG and Samsung are poor at uplifting the video on platforms like youtube. Bravia processes it like a dream. 3. Ease of use with google TV and integration with google home is a plus. 4. Sound - I was using a 120W yamaha soundbar earlier. With 50W dolby configuration in the TV and the AI processor to understand where the audience is, I have dumped my soundbar. The TV itself at 25% can make it feel like a home theatre. 5. I have got alteast 200 times more satisfaction watching F1 and other sports on this. The sound and picture quality give you a arena experience. If you are thinking of buying this, trust me its the best investment you would ever make.

Colour and resolution is fine but interface is not user friendly. Scrolling cursor on touch pad is slow and cumbersome. 1

Bought this TV as an update to out old LG television, and although the old set was working fine the difference in picture and audio quality was obvious. Setting up was pretty intuitive with the only real problem was working out how to adapt the stand for a soundbar.

I’ve had this TV for a couple of months now. I’m very happy with the picture and it synced easily to my sound bar and external speakers. The stand is slim and elegant and looks well on my TV stand. The buttons on the remote control are responsive (a bug-brar of mine, the old tele’s remote was a nightmare). Can recommend this product.

Unfortunately can't use the TV as centre speaker with my AV surround sound system cause Sony have used a 3.5mm jack as the connection. Poor design. Picture quality average for Oled, 3 stars no more.

Owned this for a couple of weeks now and completely loving looking at old film titles to see the much better the display image is. The fabulous sound from this TV is an unexpected surprise. Only drawback is it makes lower quality films look really grainy and poor. I am now actively seeking more HD content to enjoy the 4K upscaling experience. I feel like I have just moved in to the new century as this TV is light-years ahead of my old one.

Pros: For the price and features the TV is good. Cons: OLED TV is no different to regular sonay bravia. 2 remotes even in OLED versions is a hassle can be avoided. Wall mounting is big issue when you have to lift TV (20kg+) with no proper locations you can hold onto.

Happy with purchase, superb graphics on the PS5 and nice picture quality for watching tv.

This is my second Sony android tv and I love it! Picture quality is amazing, sound excellent and connectivity is flawless.

I bought this to replace a Panasonic set of the same size. The Panasonic had developed oled burn after five years which spoiled the viewing experience. I’m delighted with the picture and sound quality of this set. The hand set has taken a while to get used to after my previous one. My set operates through a Virgin media box and whereas on the Panasonic this was the default mode when switching on, this is not the case with the Sony. I have to select it from the on screen menu, maybe I’ve missed something on initial setup. The only other slight niggle was that the supplied stands optional foot positions did not go narrow enough for my cabinet. I got round this by buying a third party stand that mounts to the VESA points and gives me a swivel stand that solves the problem.

Bought this television oled as a upgrade from my Sony led TV which I had for 7 years and I must say I am quite disappointed brilliant picture some times not so good other times depending on what you're viewing

Very happy so far! The sound is pretty good on it's own but even better with Sony's HT-S40R if you like surround effect and powerful bass. Comes with a stand that can be adjusted to have a soundbar at the front. Support Airplay, so it's very easy to watch all pictures and videos from iPhone on the big screen. You can also stream movies from your NAS connected to a local network. Great integration with other Sony products – when you turn off the tv, it automatically puts the soundbar and PS5 to sleep mode.

Support from Sony app on use is excellent and ease of use , navigation around the home screen perfect

I had to replace my Samsung 65" curved TV, which had serious screen issues well within its time (I would certainly not recommend Samsung TVs as the problems that I had were are not uncommon with Samsungs). So, I returned to Sony after a ten year or so hiatus and could not be more pleased with this TV; great picture and sound, ARC works with my Denon amp (another issue with the Samsung), and is generally a joy to have in the lounge

My original purchase was 19 March, a few days after delivery I noticed, some damage to the screen, however this was dealt with promptly and Curry’s exchanged the product immediately, my replacement tv was duly delivered on 11 April 2023.

I picked the tv when it was surrounded by other large TVs so I don't think I fully appreicated how big it was (my bad). I only bought it so I could play the new Hogwarts Game on it and watch the odd film. However, despite it being huge, I picked this TV over all the others based on the quality of the picture; the definition and sound of the game footage just blew me away. It was by far, for me, better than some of the other brands on offer and even the smaller slightly cheaper version of on of this brands tv. When it arrived, it was easy to set up and configure, the tv walked me through everything I needed to get up and running within a few minutes. I am thrilled with it. I feel like I am experiencing everything, not just watching it.

I was convinced to purchase Sony OLED TV over another leading brand. After a few weeks of experience, I find that the display / picture quality is mediocre for such an expensive TV, sound quality is not as impressive as it claimed. The bezel is thick and visible, built is plasticky.

Very nice tv good picture would have liked to been told how to clean tv screen properly micro fibre cloth and distilled water

I went to Curry's to buy an A84K. They informed me that it was not possible to substitute the fitted legs for a stand of narrower dimensions, I than went to another Dealers who said no problem. They were able to supply a narrower stand for £45.00 on the A80K. We went ahead with that and were very satisfied with the service. We didn't know at the time that the specifications for the A84K were slightly better than for the A80K even though the prices were the same. If we had known we would have bought the A84K and not the A80K. We certainly didn't know that a couple of days later the A80K was to be replaced with the A95L. If we had we would have waited before buying. Apart from that the TV is a big improvement on our 7 year old 42inch Samsung.

Sony still make good tv but this it’s the best tv ever my perfect Mach for ps5

Great picture clarity. Good size for our living room. Owned other brands in the past . Nothing to beat a Sony.
