Moving from a older LED to an OLED screen was an amazing difference. The XR-55A80K has complete blacks no more gray screen, but the biggest revelation were the detailed colours and whites. Sports viewing is just astonishing now with previously smeared details now crisp and sharp.

So far so good. Awesome picture, great clarity. I’m a little concerned as the picture seems a little darker compared to our older Samsung (about 3-4 years old).

I bought the TVs after lightening got my other ones! Love the picture, colors and the sound!

Bought as a clearance item from a well known retailer, this was a massive upgrade for me. I have experienced many problems with the TV from vertical lines to colours flashing up that fill up the whole screen. As an experienced TV consumer over many years it has been a real fight to get this looked at and even just acknowledged. I was hoping much better from Sony who have such great quality products purchased over many, many years.

The Sony XR-65A84K has the best picture quality I've ever seen and the sound is incredible too. I bought the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, to go with this TV, for watching movies at night so that I don't disturb my neighbour. This combination of TV & Headphones is the best movie experience I've ever had, well done Sony.

Great picture and good sound. However, compared to a 2020 Samsung TV it has a few limitations with the PVR feature when using the USB HDD. On the Samsung we can pause live TV, rewind live TV and record multiple channels. With the Sony with Google TV this not possible, Only 1 Channel can be recoded at a time and facility to pause. As we are used to these features this feels like a backward step. A further issue is the lack of BRAVIA Core. Despite contracting Sony Support and number of times over the past 3 weeks they have still not been able to provide the free films and live-streaming that's promised with the new TV.

I bought it a month ago and couldn't be happier. The OLED panel is so simply astonishing to look at.

Got a 55 inch JVC after buying a Panasonic viera the same size. Both used to look good.......then I got a rebate and had a couple of grand kicking about so I decide to buy myself a new TV. Saw the smaller version of the one I now own, sitting in a huge display in John Lewis. I nearly bought it there and then. I went home and got online and saw that curry's had a bigger version, with a better processor more powerful one than the one I'd seen, and was made exclusively for Curry's. . Long story short, I turned it on, loaded battlefield 2042 on my Xbox Series X, made sure the settings were 120 frames (120Hz) a second in 4K. The game loaded me in. My mouth fell open. As a sniper, because of the pixel quality, I can see people moving around in undergrowth, on the other side of the map. I'd say my TV definitely gives me an edge when playing online. And there my mouth sat for the best part of the next 2 hours. It doesn't matter what you throw at it, the picture quality is flawless. No motion blur. Just smooth picture, no lag when gaming, and movies look unreal. I now have to sit and watch scores of old movies again, just so I can sit and boast to my friends about how good my TV is.Trust me.......Its the best money you've ever spent on a TV. I give you my word on that 👍👊🫶🙏👌

I have had this wall mounted and connected to my theater sound system for almost a month and this has been a great upgrade from my Sony XBR-52 that I purchased many years ago. The features are phenomenal but the picture quality is outstanding!

The overall quality is great - we added sound bar from Sony and picture and sound is fantastic. My only complaint is we’ve had trouble with the interface between the cable box and the TV and getting the remote to seamlessly work with the cable box. The remote is small and it doesn’t seem to have many buttons. We have to use a different remote to access the DVR. Possibly there’s a way to fix this, but we haven’t been able to figure it out.

I purchased directly from Sony almost a year ago and then it stopped working after about 10 months of use. It was replaced under warranty, which went smoothly (though it took a week). Because it stopped working I want to give it a 3 star review, but it's just such a beautiful picture, I can't. The thing I hate about it is the remote. Why is it so hard to put numbers on there, it shouldn't be so difficult to change the channel and if I want to flip between 2 channels, it's just too annoying to do, so I very rarely do that anymore since I got this TV, it's almost as bad as the old days before remotes, too annoying to go over and turn the knob, except if that was on option, I'd happily do that instead of using the remote to change channels. I also wish we could program the "go directly to" buttons. I'll never watch YouTube on my tv (just why?!), and it's unlikely we'll ever get Disney, so those are wasted buttons, it would be nice to program them to bring me directly to Hulu or some other streaming service I use. I also notice a lot of times the sound isn't quite (or is wildly off) the video. This is annoying though otherwise the sound is good, no sound bar necessary for our viewing habits.

i continue to be happy that I picked Sony for my display needs. The product performs at or above my expectations.

I’ve had this TV for over two months and I absolutely love it. Super clean and and crisp display. HDR content really pops without compromising color accuracy. The upscaling and motion handling is excellent. I absolutely love how little you need to do to get an outstanding, accurate picture out of this TV.

Got this 3 weeks ago very happy with it not easiest to set up for me though glad I have young ones

I bought this tv a few months ago as I wanted great quality for gaming, and I am not disappointed, it’s also has crstal clear picture for films. I was an LG person but I’ll be buying Sony from Now on

I bought this OLED set several months ago. The picture is very bright and sharp!

The TV had a great picture for the money. Setup was a breeze. The TV however kept turning itself off, So this review is a little jaded. I was excited to try the newer OLED technology on the 65" TV and I was not at all disappointment in the picture quality. I got the TV on Amazon prime day and felt like it was a pretty good deal at the time. Now I am sad to report I had to send the TV back. I have since purchased another Sony TV, the X90k 75" and so far I am loving it.

Great picture, easy to set up, and PS5 games look absolutely stunning.

Example: To direct select a TV channel:1. Depress the '123' button. This takes you to a sub-menu, which shows you several of its sub-menus,i.g., cc(close captions), audio, previous channel/inputs and the 123 number subpanel, but you get the idea. By selecting the numbers subpanel a horizontal bar appears. By moving the selection along the horizontal bar and depressing /selecting the desired channel numbers then move the selector to the lower 'enter' spot. Who knew? Some intro direction would have been helpful.

We have had our 77” XR A80K for a little less than one month now. We have it paired with a HT-A7000 soundbar and SA-SW3 subwoofer. Overall, I’m pleased with the picture quality, sound and component integration with the tv remote. BB Geek Squad setup the system when they delivered and mounted the tv. There’s been 2 times, I somehow messed up the program and had anxiety trying to get everything back on track. I wish the remote had lighted keys. As far as the TV, I’m really impressed with the picture. My wife thinks the red’s don’t look natural. I lowered the brightness a tad and it looks better. We have a window opposite the tv and do experience a reflection on the screen during the day. I’m pleased with my purchase.

Bought this TV a few weeks ago to replace a Samsung 60” curved screen (not high definition). Did some shopping and research. After bringing this home, I wish we had room for the 70”! Brilliant colors and true black. The best thing is when you get to see 4k movies and videos, super sharp!

I bought this Sony Bravia 55” in March and hung it on my bedroom wall the end of July! Did has the best picture

After having Samsung for a number of years we decided to upgrade to Sony (based on excellent reviews by friends and backed up by salesman in store). We were really excited when the TV arrived and were extremely pleased with the quality. Unfortunately this only lasted 10 days. We turned on the TV and it would not come on. We had a red flashing light believed to be a power unit fault. The TV has been taken away by the retailer and we have been kindly provided with a display model until a replacement arrives. This may be a one off and just bad luck for us but not what we expected from a brand with the reputation Sony has.

Love this TV best picture I have seen on a TV. A night time sky with the stars really is amazing. Love the landscape scenes they are beautiful. It is almost like you are looking at it live. The sound is great too though I use a A/V receiver most of the time. It replaced a 75" 950H Sony and this 77" A80K OLED puts it in the dust it is so much better.

Took a while to take the plunge, but so glad I did. Got this on sale for $400 off and couldn't resist. Sony is one of the greatest! Picture quality is insane, and the features are awesome. Google TV is seamless. Highly recommend!

Beautiful colors nice features. Remote control doesn’t have number keys. This is a small inconvenience issue for my antenna connection. Can’t program my Amazon Prime. Not sure what the problem is.

So disappointed that I can't watch ITV live the way I could with my previous Samsung TV. It is only possible to watch catch up well after the program finished.

First, it is an amazingly beautiful picture. It is unfortunately in my opinion contrasty and shadowy. In all fairness, I have problems seeing grey area due to my age. My recommendation would be that it is an amazing picture for those that have great youthful vision but it is unforgiving to the rest of us. I have ventured into picture settings. There are a tremendous number of settings that give you great control. Here’s my complaint. There are no tutorials therefore it’s complete trial and error on a fairly new OLED technology. Also, the settings are discreet for each input and streaming app in addition to each image protocol (ie, standard, HDR, dolby digital). Very time consuming and overwhelming. It would be helpful if these settings could be saved as many custom settings such as custom 1, custom 2, etc.

I bought this to maximize the features of my a7000 soundbar and ps5 The only issue I have is with controlling the TV with Alexa. Alexa is saying she cannot turn the TV on but it turns on anyway.

Beautiful image Great sound All the hard wired and wireless connections you wish for But it just keeps getting a blackout and it stops working unless you unplugged it from the power, wait a few seconds and it will work again. It is just annoyingly frustrating.

We fell in love with this TV seeing it on display and from online reviews knew it had amazing upscaling... how good though we had no idea! We have other friends with nice OLED TVs but none compare to the clarity when watching older TV show or DVDs. While we normally use our Apple TV, which works perfectly with it, but the included Google interface is very nice, easy to get around in and very fast. We purchased the Apple TV because our old TV's interface was slow and cumbersome. I have owned Sony TVs since the 70s and purchased another brand last time, it was a good TV but not a Sony. We are very happy to be back in our familiar Sony camp again! Last thing, even the packing and documentation was well done, it was like they thought of everything and the OTA updates have already added features we thought we might miss out on. Thank you Sony!

The picture quality is excellent. Very easy to set up and navigate. I set up with Google. I also bought a Sony sound bar Bluetooth paired easily. I also have a Sony DVD player which was connected via HDMI cable. I have had the TV for 3 weeks with no issues at this time. Two minor complaints. 1. Power cable needs to be a little longer. My outlets are on the lower wall. 2. The color is minutely on the dark side. I have owned Sony products for over 35 years and they have never disappointed me.

This TV seemed like a great buy, picture looked brilliant but it was the sound option that attracted me, I have a Yamaha RX6VA AV receiver with some Paradigm Prestige speakers and I wanted to use the Sony as a centre speaker as well, they make a big thing about the speakers being in the TV screen and it sounded exactly what I wanted. Little did I know that this option of using it as a centre speaker only works with certain Sony products!! its a has a 3.5m jack and not a speaker terminals, the cable even if you make it up will not work.., buy the more expensive version and you get the speaker connections, I have had to shell out on a Cambridge Audio mini speaker to make up for the lack of centre speaker...gutted

Have been researching screens and decided that I wanted an OLED even though the cost is higher than other types. I bought a 55" - which is the largest I could use in my living room - and it replaced an aging 4K screen I bought from Samsung a few years ago. I couldn't be happier with the Sony Bravia. As advertised, the blacks are COMPLETLEY black and whites are pure. I did some tweaking to the colors and I'm totally satisfied. I did have some configuration programs setting up the screen but eventually figured it out.

Would have been five stars if Google tv wasn’t crazy. I live in the uk but the tv suggests everything in Spanish. Tried every setting and every forum and it always reverts to Spain.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago great picture sound some difficulty in setting up as I wanted it also some difficulty in pairing both virgin and Sony remotes only half working on both

Tv is easy to use and the Google system is nice. ALSO THE OLED PICTURE LOOKS REAL GOOD
