Misleading product information from a layman standpoint, wireless blue tooth cannot connected to my sound bar - good Sony color, but super disappointed by the useless wilreless blue tooth function and felt cheated big big time. + $300 more, i would have buy the next series X90 if am aware of the useless wireless blue tooth issue of cannot get connected to my sound bar only direct connection works. We've had this TV for a couple of years now, and the picture quality is very good. Sound is also good when used with the Sony HT-S40R sound system (but a bit rubbish when just using the TV speaker). The menu system is quite confusing though, and we have just had to do a factory reset because it was taking longer and longer to load different options. The factory reset was successful, although we then had to redefine all our accounts

Sony Bravia Customer Service: A Frustrating, Time-Wasting Nightmare I expected better from a premium brand like Sony, but my experience with their customer service has been nothing short of appalling. When the backlight on my Sony Bravia TV failed, I followed all the troubleshooting steps on their website, but nothing worked. I then contacted Sony support, who asked me to provide video evidence, pictures, the serial number, model, and year—fair enough. I did exactly that. Then, I received an email asking for the same information I had already provided. I complied again. Instead of offering a solution, Sony told me to contact my local service center—50 drive minutes away. When I called them, they had received zero information from Sony, forcing me to go through the entire process again, resending everything. Their response? They wouldn’t collect the TV. If I wanted a diagnosis, I had to drive it to them during working hours, meaning I’d need to take time off work. Diagnosis alone would take days, and if they could fix it, I’d get an invoice—without any transparency on cost upfront. If they couldn’t fix it, I’d have to take more time off to pick up a broken TV. Even when I asked for a rough estimate, they refused to give me one until I pushed them to speak to an engineer. To make matters worse, when I brought up consumer rights, Sony told me to speak to the retailer. The retailer then sent me to their head office. I was passed around in circles with no resolution. It should not take multiple phone calls, duplicate emails, and endless frustration just to get basic service. If Sony’s head office and service centers actually communicated, this entire process could have been streamlined. In the end, I hired an independent repair specialist who picked up my TV, diagnosed it, is fixing it, and will deliver it back to me. That’s the level of service Sony should be providing. Instead, they wasted my time, effort, and patience. After this experience, I’m seriously reconsidering ever purchasing a Sony product again. If you value customer support and a company that stands by its products, look elsewhere.

The software on this TV is diabolical. The installed Live TV app is slow, glitchy and doesn't stream HD content until settled. If using an online app, the TV will sometimes freeze or take forever to load. Streaming from a device, whether it be Chromecast or any other app you try, the TV will pause, glitch, or just simply freeze. On occasion, just kick you off the app. Several times you'll long press power button to reset, just to get back to normal TV operation! No matter how many software updates there are, still these very old school bugs remain. Picture quality is of a high standard, and that's about it! Saying that, starting to get LED haze around the outside and corners, which is quite bad considering the TV is only a couple years old. For the high price paid for this product, it really is of a poor standard. There are much better quality products at a fraction of the price. Not recommended.

Having owned Sony tv’s exclusively for the past 20 years I have been so disappointed with this one. Most of the electronic panels have been replaced over the past four years under warranty, usually due to sound problems. I will stick with Sony when replacing this one but will feel a little less assured when I do. I have one year remaining on the warranty and honestly expect it to require a further repair just after it expires!

No live TV in ITVX, can only add certain apps and keeps asking me to set up my device on start up. Worst of all is the dark blurry distortion that has appeared at the top of the screen which you can clearly see when there is something white displayed on the TV. I bought a Sony TV because I had a bravia previously for many years. I have cheap TVs in other rooms that are much better. It was an expensive purchase so not able to replace at the moment.

I have only just registered my TV, 43 inch Bravia some 3 years after buying, but that puts me in a great position to sing its praises. Great size, nice and flat against the wall, but with such crisp and clear images. I have seen some TVs that almost look too vivid and it uncomfortable to watch. This TV is perfect, easy on the eye and never feel tired even though I Should wear glasses. Absolutely no problems or hitches since purchase......perfect.

This TV was provided as a replacement for a damaged TV in an insurance claim. The TV was great with clear picture and sound but when approaching 3years old the screen just went black but the sound continued perfectly. Paid £900 for something that was not fit for purpose. Sony customer service simply didn’t care and were exceedingly unhelpful. Avoid at all cost!

The tv is bad the after sales service is even worse. I reported the tv to have a problem with turning itself off all the time, also the sync between picture and sound is always going astray. The only answer I ever get is turn the tv off, followed by setting up the tv repeatedly. This solves the problem for a day or two then its back to customer services and guess what the same diagnosis and the same result after a day or two. Would not recommend this product to anyone and I am sick and tired of the same response from after sales. When this tv totally fails, I am just waiting for this to happen I will be buying a different brand.

Only just two years, and it has died, not what I’d expect when paying half a months wage for a tv! Because I can’t find the receipt I can’t use the warranty, even though the date on the back of the TV is within the warranty period. I’ve taken it to an independent tv repair specialist and they said it needs an update, because the “auto update” was on the tv needs to be on the do the update- that’s why it won’t turn on- if I could score a 0* I would! I’ve always had Sony- even enquired directly and no one even acknowledged my email. Don’t waste your time with Sony such a waste of money…

I wouldn’t buy one of these TVs again because I object to having to have a google account in order to use it. The software is a bit slow and occasionally the whole thing crashes and has to be unplugged to reset. The sound output is average but I would recommend some form of sound bar. Apple airplay works unrleliably.

This TV is is very nice picture quality and sound. You don't need another soundbar. The GoogleTV is not a good app, and I like older Sony TVs when there was to Google. Also, the power supply had to be replaced and cost me $135 to repair it. But it was worth it, as TV is really good.

I bought it in Oct 2020 and I cannot believe that this expensive television has dies on me (completely) within 2-years of purchase. I was certainly expecting more from a quality brand such as Sony. If a product is not going to last for 2-years, I may well go cheap and cheerful next time and plan to replace when it breaks. Disappointed.
