Follow the below steps to power reset the computer:
- Turn the computer off.
- Remove the battery and AC adapter from the computer.
IMPORTANT: If the computer does not have a removable battery, press the Reset button, located on the bottom of the computer.
NOTE: Refer to the computer User Guide for instructions on how to locate and use the Reset button, or how to properly remove the battery. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
- Press and continue to hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Re-connect the battery and AC adapter, then press the power button.
- The computer has now been power reset and should power on.
If you have reset the computer as a last effort to resolve a particular issue and the issue is not resolved after performing the reset steps, service may be required.
