Follow this procedure to troubleshoot the notebook computer not starting when attached to the docking station or port replicator.
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.
IMPORTANT: The docking station or port replicator must have power in order for it to work properly.
- Plug the AC adapter used with the notebook into the docking station or port replicator.
- Ensure the port replicator or docking station is connected correctly.
- Remove any devices attached to the docking station or port replicator.
- Reset the computer BIOS to the default settings .

If the notebook computer is still not starting when attached to the docking station or port replicator, service may be required.
