Why can I hear myself talking through the earbuds?

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

You can hear yourself talking through the earbuds because of the Sidetone function of your Bluetooth® headphones.

    • This function provides audible feedback to the caller that the phone works.
    • It helps you realize that you dropped a call because instead of hearing yourself, you hear nothing.
    • This function may become excessive in loud environments as your headphones microphone picks up the ambient sounds.
    • This function can't be disabled.
