Enjoy realistic 3D surround sound with your neckband speaker or Sony brand headphones

Connecting the SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speaker and WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter to a BRAVIA™ XR series TV and adjusting specific settings allows you to enjoy realistic 3D surround sound with your neckband speaker. In addition, the WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter is also sold separately so you can enjoy 3D surround using compatible headphones.

In addition, you can use the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer app to estimate the shape of your ear to achieve more immersive and optimized 3D surround effects.

1. Connect the TV and transmitter

Connect the transmitter to your TV. For details, refer to the instruction manual supplied with the wireless neckband speaker (SRS-NS7) or the wireless transmitter (WLA-NS7).

2. Set up 3D surround settings on your TV

• Standard 3D surround settings:

  1. After the TV and transmitter are connected, the 3D surround initial setting screen is displayed on the TV. Following the on-screen instructions, select Next to continue.

     

  2. When the initial settings are complete, the message Setup complete is displayed. To experience the demo, select Play demo.

     

• More immersive 3D surround settings:

  1. If the TV is connected to the internet, you'll see the standard 3D surround settings followed by a settings screen to enjoy a more immersive 3D surround sound.

     

  2. Select Optimise now to continue setting up a more immersive 3D surround sound.

     IMPORTANT: To set up the more immersive 3D surround sound, you need to sign in to Sony's Cloud Service for Home Entertainment & Sound Products.
     Notes:

     • If your TV is not connected to the internet, this settings screen is skipped, and you'll be taken to the How to use screen.
     • If you prefer to make this setting later, select Not now.
  3. Prepare a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.

     

     Note: If you're already signed in, the account selection screen is displayed. Please select the account you want to use.

     

  4. After signing in, scan the QR code on your mobile device, install the dedicated app (360 Spatial Sound Personalizer), and then follow the app instructions to take a picture of your ear on your mobile device. When the measurement is completed, the TV screen will switch automatically.

     

     Note: If you already have an account and have taken a picture of your ear, this step is skipped.

  5. After completing the settings, select Play demo to start the demo.

     

• Set your 3D surround settings later:

  You can also set the 3D surround settings on your TV later. When selecting 3D surround settings, make sure the TV and transmitter are connected before you begin. Check the following procedures:

  • To set the initial 3D surround settings later:

    1. On the TV remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Remotes & Accessories → 3D surround Neckband Speaker/Headphones → Set up 3D surround.

       

    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  • To set more immersive 3D surround sound settings later or to make additional settings with another account:

    1. On the TV remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Remotes & Accessories → 3D surround Neckband Speaker/Headphones → Hearing profile.
       Note: If the Hearing profile cannot be selected, select Deregister Wireless Transmitter and restart the standard 3D surround settings from the beginning.

       

    4. Select Add.

       

    5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

       

After the initial setup is complete, you can enjoy the 3D surround sound using your neckband speaker or headphones.
