Key passing of CEC is not supported when the TalkBack feature is enabled. If you want to control a device connected via HDMI®, disable the TalkBack feature, or use the Screen Reader feature instead of TalkBack.
Google TV
Disable the TalkBack feature:
- On the supplied remote control, press the
(Quick settings) button. - Select Settings (located at the left end), and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select System and then press the Enter button.
- Select Accessibility and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select TalkBack and then press the Enter button.
- Select Enable and press the Enter button. This switches the TalkBack setting to off.
- When you hear OK, press the Enter button to stop TalkBack.
Activate the Screen Reader feature:
- On the supplied remote control, press the
(Quick settings) button. - Select Settings (located at the left end), and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select System and then press the Enter button.
- Select Accessibility and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select Screen reader and then press the Enter button.
- Select Enable and press the Enter button.
- Select OK and press the Enter button.
For Android TV

- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Press the right arrow button to select Settings at the upper right corner, then press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select Device Preferences and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select Accessibility and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select TalkBack and press the Enter button.
- Select Enable and press the Enter button. This switches the TalkBack setting to off.
- When you hear OK, press the Enter button to stop TalkBack.
Activate the Screen Reader feature:
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Press the right arrow button to select Settings at the upper right corner, then press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select Device Preferences and press the Enter button.
- Press the down arrow button to select Accessibility and press the Enter button.
