If you have not updated the app to the latest version, download and update the app after changing the Media Audio setting to Automatic. In the latest version of the app, you will not need to change the audio routing each time.

If you have an iPhone® paired with your hearing aid, you can change the phone settings to route audio to the hearing aid to take calls or stream audio from Apple Music®, Apple Podcasts, Siri®, Apple TV®, and more.
Stream audio from Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Siri, Apple TV
There are two ways you can do this:
- Tap the Playback Destination button
in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or in the Now Playing controls for the app you’re listening to, then choose your hearing aid.
- Go to Settings → Accessibility → Hearing Devices → Audio Routing → Media Audio, then choose Automatic.
Route the audio of phone or FaceTime® calls to your hearing aid
There are two ways you can route the audio:
- Tap the Playback Destination button
in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or in the Now Playing controls for the app you’re listening to, then choose your hearing aid.
- Go to Settings → Accessibility →Hearing Devices → Audio Routing → Call Audio, then choose Automatic.
Note:
- While on a call, you will hear the other person on the call through your hearing aids, but for them to hear you, you will need to hold your phone near your mouth so that your voice is picked up through the phone's microphone.
