A bright image on a solid background may cause the background color to appear uneven

When watching movies, especially when a person or bright object is in the center of the image, and the background is flat and vivid, the color or brightness of the background may appear uneven around the object.

To help reduce this behavior, try adjusting the following picture settings.

Set Auto Local Dimming to Low or Off.

On the remote control, press the Quick Settings (spanner) button, then:

    1. Select Settings
    2. Select Display & Sound
    3. Select Picture & Sound
    4. Select Picture
    5. Select Brightness
    6. Select Auto Local Dimming
    7. Set to Low or Off

Step 2: Adjust Backlight Lighting Mode (Professional picture mode only)

If Picture mode is set to Professional, set Backlight lighting mode to White.

On the remote control, press the Quick Settings (spanner) button, then:

    1. Select Settings
    2. Select Display & Sound
    3. Select Picture & Sound
    4. Select Picture
