Internet Music Services

Internet music services, such as Pandora® Internet Radio, Slacker™ Radio and vTuner™, are supported on HomeShare™ wireless products. Using these services you can stream music directly from the Internet to your HomeShare product.¹

Pandora internet radio

Pandora internet radio brings people music they love anytime, anywhere. Personalized stations launch with just a favorite artist, track, comedian or genre, and listeners can refine their stations with simple thumbs-up and thumbs-down feedback. With personalized experiences from any starting point in the music universe, tens of millions of people turn on Pandora to discover new music and hear music they love.

Slacker Radio

Slacker is an interactive Internet radio service available in the US and Canada. You can access the service for free through your HomeShare wireless device. Slacker Radio features over 130 genre stations uniquely programmed by top music experts. Each station features a wide selection of music hand-picked by Slacker DJs and includes breaking hits and top singles along with the very best deep tracks and more!

If you are a subscriber to Slacker Radio Plus, you get all the features mentioned below. For more details, please check the Slacker Radio Plus website.

• Unlimited Skips. Basic radio listeners are limited to 6 song skips per hour, per station. However, with Slacker Radio Plus you can skip as many as songs as you want.
• News Content. Listen to top news on the ABC News station or add ABC Headline News content to the top of the hour on any of your favorite Slacker stations.

vTuner

vTuner is a guide to Internet streamed media. Thousands of Internet radio stations all over the world are available free of charge and, through the vTuner service, incorporated in your audio product if connected to the Internet. HomeShare Wireless Products

HomeShare devices allow you to wirelessly stream music from select Internet music services or a DLNA® server. Some devices have a dock for an iPhone® or iPod® device³. HomeShare devices can be remotely controlled with the universal remote, model RMN-U1. Also, a free downloaded app for an iPhone® or iPod touch® device can turn it into a versatile remote control.²

How to Setup Your HomeShare Wireless Product for Internet Music Streaming

1. STEP 1: Connect your device to the Internet.
2. STEP 2: Register your device on the Essentials website.
3. STEP 3: Access Internet music services on your device.

1. Get the registration code for your HomeShare wireless device. Select your model below to see the procedure.
2. • PROCEDURE FOR SAN-S300
   • 1. Verify your device is connected to your network, powered on and active.
     2. Press FUNCTION repeatedly to select the Music Services function.
     3. Select Registration Code which is at the bottom of the list of service providers.
     4. The registration code is displayed.
   • PROCEDURE FOR CMT-MX700NI, STR-DN1020
   • 1. Verify your device is connected to your network, powered on and active.
     2. Press MUSIC SERVICES to select the Music Service function.
     3. The service provider list is displayed.
     4. Note: If the system automatically displays the last selected service or station, press BACK repeatedly until the service provider list appears.
     5. Press the UP/DOWN arrows to select Registration Code and then press ENTER.
     6. The registration code is displayed.
   • PROCEDURE FOR STRDA1800ES, STRDN1030
   • 1. Press MENU. The menu is displayed on the TV screen.
     2. Select Music, then press ENTER.
     3. Select SEN (PlayStation™ Network), then press ENTER.
     4. Note: The service provider list appears on the TV screen. If the receiver automatically displays the last selected service or station, press RETURN/EXIT repeatedly until the service provider list appears. Note: You can also use the SEN button on the remote control to select the SEN function directly.
     5. Select "(whatever service you want to use)", then press ENTER
     6. Select the folder or station you want, then press ENTER
     7. • Press the arrow keys to select the item
        • Press ENTER to go to the next directory, or to listen to the station.
        • Press the RETURN/EXIT to go to the previous directory.
3. Using your computer, register your Sony device at the Essentials website.
4. 1. Go to https://internet.sony.tv/customer.
   2. If prompted, select your country and language and click Continue. Otherwise, skip to the next step.
   3. Login to the Essentials site:

      (If you have a Essentials or Sony Store account)

      1. Enter your e-mail address and password and click Go.
      2. Skip to step 4 below.
      
      
      

      (If you do not have an Essentials or Sony Store account)

      1. Click the "New to Essentials?" link which will send you to the Sony Store Registration screen.
      2. Enter an e-mail address and password, and click Submit.
      3. If not automatically redirected, click your browser back button to return to the Essentials site.
      4. Enter your registered e-mail address and password and click Go.
      
      
      
   4. Select your device type, enter your Essentials Product Registration code, and click Continue.
   5. A confirmation screen will appear and a message will be sent to your e-mail address.
   6. Open this e-mail message and click the embedded link to confirm your registration with the Essentials website.
