    This utility installs an updated version of the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® Technology to resolve issues where a Bluetooth mouse will randomly disconnect from the computer and when the computer cannot enable a Bluetooth connection.

    Before You Start


    Important Notes

    Download and Installation Instructions

    1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
    2. Download the EP0000600816.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
    3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the EP0000600816.exe file to begin the installation.
    4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
    5. At the "Select Country" screen, select the country for this installation, and then click "Next".
    6. At the "Intel® PROset/Wireless Software for Bluetooth® Technology Update Ver. 3.1.1306.0354" screen, click "Next".
    7. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
    8. At the "Finished" screen, click "Finish".
    9. At the "This system must be restarted to complete the installation" screen, click "OK" to restart the computer.

    After the computer restarts, the installation of the Intel PROset Wireless Software for Bluetooth Technology Update is complete.
    How to verify the installed version
    1. Click "Search" on the Charm listing
    2. Click "Settings" then type "Add or Remove Programs"
    3. Click "Add or Remove Programs"
    4. The installed version of the Intel PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth Technology will show as 3.0.1306.0342

    The version installed can also be found at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft®\Windows®\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\(302600C1-6BDF-4FD1-1306-148929CC1385)\DisplayVersion 3.0.1306.0354).
