Important Notes
  • It is strongly recommended that you transfer all tracks and data from the player to the computer before performing this update. Tracks and data that remain on the player may be damaged or deleted during the update process.
  • In order to install this update, there must be at least 310 MB of free space on the player.
Please follow the steps below to check the amount of free space on the player:
    1. At the Home screen, tap the "Menu" button.
    2. At the Menu screen, tap "Settings" and then "Storage".

  • When updating from firmware versions less than 2.00, please note the following:
    • Important: Applications that you have installed yourself may no longer be usable after applying this update.
    • The DLNA application will not playback WMA Pro content stored on another DLNA certified device.
    • After completing the update, the sound effect settings (such as the Equalizer or Clear Stereo) will be returned their default settings. Any previous changes will have to be reset.
    • After completing the update, the help guide can be read on the application list.
Note: When viewed in the Browser screen, an older help guide is displayed.
    • After completing the update, the volume may be louder than the previous settings when initially connecting your Bluetooth® device.
Note: To change the volume of a Bluetooth device using the volume button on the Walkman player, the Bluetooth device must support AVRCP (Audio Visual Remote Control Profile) VOLUME UP/DOWN features. If the Bluetooth device does not support AVRCP VOLUME UP/DOWN features, use the volume button on Bluetooth device to make a volume adjustment.
