Download & Install

There are two different upgrade versions available. You will select your upgrade version based on the version currently installed. Please follow the instructions below to obtain the correct version for your player.

Note: If you use the incorrect version, you will not be able to install the upgrade.
  1. Power on the television and make sure it is tuned to the inputs to which the Blu-ray Disc player is connected.
  2. Power on the Blu-ray Disc player.
  3. If the player starts to play a disc, press the "STOP" button and wait until the xross media bar™ menu is displayed on the television before proceeding.
  4. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to select Setup - System Settings, and then press the ENTER button.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Quick Start Mode and make sure that the Quick Start Mode is set to Off.
    Note: If the Quick Start Mode is set to On, change the setting to Off. Otherwise, the firmware upgrade may not succeed.
  6. Use the arrow keys to select System Information, and then press the ENTER button.
  7. The firmware version currently installed on the Blu-ray Disc player will be listed on the television screen.
