You need to use an active cellular account in order to provide the highly accurate mobile device location information needed for the Remote ID function. If you use an iPad, make sure that the iPad has a cellular function.
When using an iPad or other device without an active cellular account, the error message The Remote ID function is not operating properly. Cannot retrieve highly accurate mobile device location information. (E003040207) will continue to be displayed even if GNSS location data is provided by some other means.
