What is the Automatic Profile Selector?
The Automatic Profile Selector is a feature of the PowerPanel™ power management utility that interacts with the Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI) power management features of the system to provide intelligent power management. The Automatic Profile Selector is the default PowerPanel power management utility profile for the notebook computer.
Using the window description in the active window, the Automatic Profile Selector will configure the power management settings of the system for optimal battery performance while allowing for optimal performance for that particular type of application.
NOTE: These settings are done dynamically without user intervention.
