Digital Paper Version 1.5.53 System Software Update Information

Each System Software update includes benefits provided by all previous updates, as well as providing additional improvements.

This System Software update provides the following functional and stability benefits:

• ShareFile Support - It is now possible to enable direct connectivity to the ShareFile cloud storage and file sharing service. ShareFile's cloud storage capabilities let users send, receive and share documents across multiple devices. Digital Paper users can now log in to the ShareFile service to upload/download documents directly from/to Digital Paper.
• Stylus Support in PDF Forms - Form functions such as Check Boxes, Radio Buttons, Drop-down Lists, List Boxes and Text Fields can now be operated using the stylus, allowing more precise control and easier data entry.
• Screen Sharing Function - Allows user to view the screen of the Digital Paper on a computer display. If the computer is connected to a projector, the Digital Paper screen can be viewed by a group of people allowing Digital Paper to be used as a presentation tool. It is necessary to download and install the DP Display Output application for this function to operate.
• Editing Handwriting Annotations - You can move, copy, cut and paste the handwriting annotations using the stylus. The handwriting annotations can be copied and pasted between different documents within the Digital Paper device.
• Turning Pages in Zoom Mode - You can now turn pages and retain the display position and zoom ratio while the display is zoomed in.
• Selecting a Note Template - It is now easier to select a different template when creating a new note.
• Renaming Document/Note - You can rename a document or note while it is open.
• Pen/Eraser Options - There are now more options to choose for the pen and eraser size.
• Saving Notes - You can specify a network drive folder as the destination for saving new notes.
• Proxy Server Settings - You can set a proxy server for each wireless router.

This System Software update provides functional improvements for Worldox users as well as stability improvements for all Digital Paper users.

Improvements provided by version 1.3.02.11210:

This System Software update includes functional improvements, stability improvements, and options for enhancing the security of the Digital Paper DPT-S1 device.

• Data Encryption - Option to enable AES 256 Bit Encryption of the Digital Paper to provide additional layer of security. It protects all content stored in internal memory from unauthorized access. Requires the user to enter a decryption password each time device is turned on.
• Device Lock Password - Length of the Device Lock password increases from 4 digits (numeric) to 20 characters (alphanumeric/symbols) to increase protection from unauthorized access whenever device is wakened from sleep mode or turned on.
• PDF Form Support - Basic functions of PDF forms such as Check Boxes, Radio Buttons, Drop-down Lists, List Boxes and Text Fields are now supported.
• Tool Bar - The toolbar can now be positioned on the left or right side of the screen to allow for easier access to tools without obstructing the view of a document or note. The toolbar now also includes easy access to Page Navigation, Page View, and Screen Orientation tools.
• Pen Button Settings - The Pen Button can now be programmed to function as either an eraser, a highlighter, or set to inactive.
• Handwriting in Zoom Mode - The handwriting function will now be active while within Zoom Mode.
• Undo/Redo - It is now possible to undo or redo handwriting and erasing.
• Disable Gestures - It is now possible to disable gestures such as page swiping to prevent accidental page turning while annotating documents.
• Folders/Files - It is now possible to create and delete folders, as well as duplicate and rename files.
• Note Templates - Different formats of templates can be used to make Notes (i.e., Quad/Grid, Plain/Unruled, and Wide Ruled).
• Notes (Insert/Add/Delete -) You are now able to insert, add and delete pages within a Note.
• Annotations - The Digital Paper can be configured to prevent erasure of annotations by other users.
• Tab List - It is now easier to navigate between opened documents or notes using the Tab List.
