LCD TV: Find the Model Name, Serial Number, and Software Version of Your TV

The model name, serial number, and software version of your TV can be found in the following locations:

• Locate the model name on the original packaging.

  

• Locate the model name and serial number on the product sticker.

  

• Wall Mounted - Locate the model name and serial number on the product sticker.

  If your TV is mounted on the wall you can find the model and serial number on the product sticker on the back of the TV using a small hand mirror and your mobile phone.

  1. Find a small hand or inspection mirror that can fit behind the TV.
  2. Locate the product sticker on the back of the TV. It is usually located on the right bottom corner or the bottom center on the back of the TV.
  3. Hold the mirror behind the TV so that you can clearly see the label from the front or side of the TV.

     

  4. You can use your mobile phone to take a picture of the label in the mirror.

     

  5. Use the edit feature on your mobile phone to flip the image horizontally.

• Locate the model name, serial number, and software version in the HELP section of the TV Settings menu.

  • TVs released in 2015 and later

    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select System Settings or Product Support.
    4. Select Customer Support or System Information.
    5. Select Product Information.

       

  • TVs released in 2014

    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select (?) (Help).
    3. Select Customer Support.
    4. Select System Information.
