Output Audio to the Soundbar Only

The sound normally comes from the TV speakers and the sound bar if they are connected with an HDMI® cable. Follow the steps below to output sound from the Soundbar only. Make sure to check the sound after every step. If you need model-specific information, check the supplied manual.

1. On your Soundbar, make sure the Control for HDMI function is on.

   • HT-S100F/S200F/SF150/SF200/SF201 Models

     On the Soundbar remote control, press and hold the VOICE button for five seconds.

     • The USB indicator flashes twice indicating the Control for HDMI function is on.

   • HT-X9000F/XF9000/Z9F/ZF9 Models

     1. Using the Soundbar remote control, press the HOME button.
     2. Select Setup.
     3. Select Advanced Settings.
     4. Select HDMI Settings.
     5. Select Control for HDMI and then set to On.

2. Turn the TV and Soundbar on and off.

   1. On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV off.
      • Check if the Soundbar turns off at the same time.
   2. If the Sound bar doesn't turn off, use the Soundbar remote to turn it off.
   3. On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV on.
      • Check if the Soundbar turns on at the same time.
   4. If the Soundbar doesn't turn on, use the Soundbar remote to turn it on.
