Bluetooth Signal Strength Check

The Bluetooth signal cannot be identified. Check the Signal Strength again.

    Troubleshoot the sound interruptions

Update the speaker's software to the most recent version. If the issue is still not resolved, choose the possible cause and follow the solution provided.

If the issue is caused by Bluetooth interference:

    • Devices that use the 2.4 GHz frequency band may affect Bluetooth communication.
      • If you are in a place subject to radio wave interference, such as near a Wi-Fi network, or Bluetooth device, move away from those places.
      • If you are near a microwave oven, a wireless LAN device, digital cordless device, or anything that may affect Bluetooth communications, turn those devices off or use the speaker away from them.
    • Make sure that the speaker and the connected device are as close as possible to verify that you can play music or sound with no interruptions.
After confirming that the sound can be heard normally, gradually increase the distance between the connected device and the speaker to a point where the sound is interrupted. Use the speaker within the area where the sound is not interrupted.

If the issue is caused by a weak Bluetooth signal:

    • Remove any obstacles (people, metal objects, walls, etc.) from between the speaker and the connected device.

If the issue is caused by something other than the Bluetooth signal status:

    • If the connected device is a mobile device (smartphone, etc.) close all apps except the one you are currently using, or restart the device.
When many apps are running at the same time, the device may run slowly and affect the music or sound output.
    • If the connected device is a computer, close all unnecessary app or restart the computer.
    • Refrain from connecting to the network except with the device you are currently using with the speaker.
If multiple devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi access point, network communication speed may slow down and affect the music or sound output.

If the issue is still not resolved:

    • To change the setting, use the Sony | Music Center app to select SettingsSoundBluetooth Connection QualityPriority on Stable Connection.
    • If the connected device is using the Android, you may be able to change the Bluetooth codec settings.
To change the settings, open the Sony | Music Center app, select Option menu iconMusic Center SettingsBluetooth Output Settings, and then uncheck the Prioritize LDAC or select LDAC Playback QualityPriority on Stable Connection.
