How long does the charge on the rechargeable battery of RNP-P1 last?
The following shows an estimate for each temperature level. Actual performance varies based on settings, environmental conditions, storage, and usage. Batteries are consumable products, and their capacity degrades over time as they age. Sony does not guarantee the life span of the battery.
For RNP-P1
- COOL Level 1: Up to 34 hours
- COOL Level 2: Up to 27 hours
- COOL Level 3: Up to 18 hours
- COOL Level 4: Up to 10 hours
- COOL Level 5: Up to 5.5 hours
- WARM Level 1: Up to 10 hours
- WARM Level 2: Up to 8 hours
- WARM Level 3: Up to 6.5 hours
- WARM Level 4: Up to 5.5 hours
How long is the continuous operation time when RNP-P1 is powered by USB?
This depends on the capacity [mAh] of the external battery. The following shows an estimate for each temperature level.

* When connected to a USB power supply, Level 5 automatically operates at a higher cooling level "Level 5+". After the mobile battery is consumed, the cooling level will return to Level 5 and will last for up to 4 hours using the built-in battery.
Can I replace the battery?
No. The battery is non-removeable, thus, should the battery need to be replaced, we recommend support from a Sony Authorized Service Provider.  Go to Product Repair. 
What USB AC adapter is recommended for charging?
Use a commercially available USB AC adapter with overcurrent protection for safe operation, and also one capable of supplying an output current of 1A (1,000 mA) or more to have fast charging work.
Can I charge the battery with a mobile battery or a PC?
Yes. However, in the following conditions, charging may not work.
- When a mobile battery cannot distinguish between low current charging and charging completion, it might stop charging partway through.
- Charging with a PC will depend on your PC model, software, or settings.
What kind of mobile battery do you suggest me to use?
Use a commercially available USB AC adapter with overcurrent protection for safe operation, and also one capable of supplying an output current of 1A (1,000 mA) or more to have fast charging work.
Also, a mobile battery that supports low current mode to avoid the problem of stopping charging halfway.
What kind of AC adapter or mobile battery should I use for fast charging?
Use one with an output of 1A or more with overcurrent protection and the included USB cable.
When I use the device with USB power, the app displays an error message: "The device battery has run out of charge," even though the mobile battery is still charged. Is this a malfunction?
The device battery can also be drained depending on the selected temperature setting level and airflow. Leave the device to charge for a while and then try again.
When the charging cable is disconnected, the device will not operate.
Charge the battery for at least 30 minutes and then try again. To charge the battery fully, it takes the time below.

What kind of USB cable should I use when I use the device with USB power?
The USB Type-C cable provided with the device will be ideal, and when using a commercially available USB cable, we recommend it to be an L-shape USB Type-C for wearing comfort.

Can I purchase the charging cable that comes with the REON POCKET separately?
The charging cable is not sold separately. A commercially available charging cable (USB Type-C) can be used.
