Can I use an external hard disk drive with my car stereo?

You can use an external hard disk drive (HDD) as long as it's compatible with the same file system that your car stereo supports.
The car stereo supports FAT16 and FAT32 Microsoft ®Windows® operating system file formats through mass storage class (MSC). It doesn't support any other file system.
- The exFAT file system isn't supported, only FAT16 and FAT32 file systems.
- You can connect a USB flash drive that is formatted with the correct file system
- You can connect a portable USB rotational HDD that receives power from a secondary source (AC or DC).
