When the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter for the wireless stereo headphones does not light up, it is possible that the battery for the headphones was not inserted correctly or the signal may be too weak. Check the following items to troubleshoot this issue:
IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is needed to complete any of these steps, refer to the instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the transmitter after completing each step.
- The battery may be weak or dead.
- Charge the rechargeable battery for the required amount of time.
- Depending on the age and prior usage of the rechargeable battery, replace the battery.
- If using dry alkaline batteries, replace them with new alkaline batteries.
- The supplied battery may not be inserted correctly.
- Remove the battery, check the polarity and reinsert the battery in the correct direction.
- The headphones may have been set on the transmitter in the opposite direction.
- Remove the headphones from the transmitter and then place them back down with the triangle arrows matching up at the base of the transmitter.
NOTE: When the headphones are set on the transmitter correctly, the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter should light up in red.
- The battery may be fully charged.
NOTE: After approximately 16 hours of charging the battery, the charging automatically stops and the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter goes off.
- The transmitter may not be detecting an audio signal or the signal may be weak.
- Send the transmitter another audio signal from the connected source or strengthen the current signal by raising the volume so that the transmitter will start sending out radio frequency (RF) signals, which should turn the POWER/CHARGE indicator to green.
NOTE: The transmitter starts sending RF signals automatically when it detects an audio signal from the connected equipment. If the transmitter does not detect an audio signal for more than 10 minutes or if the signal is weak, the transmitter will stop sending RF signals, and the POWER/CHARGE indicator will turn off.
If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required.
