What Does the Red and Green Indicator Lights Mean on the Transmitter and Headphones?

    Headphones and Transmitter Indicator

    Refer to the chart below for information about the red and green indicator lights on the transmitter and headphones.

    Red Light on Transmitter (POWER/CHARGE)

    When the headphone is placed on the transmitter, the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter lights up in red to show that the BP-HP550-11 battery is currently charged.

    Note: The red light on the transmitter will automatically turn off after the 16-hour charge cycle.

    If the headphones aren't properly placed on the transmitter or if the rechargeable battery has reached the end of the 16-hour charge cycle, the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter turns off.

    Note: To make sure the rechargeable battery will charge properly, see to it that the triangle arrow marks on the headphones and the transmitter are aligned as shown in the image below.

    Headphone transmitter

    Green Light on Transmitter (POWER/CHARGE) If the transmitter received an audio signal from the connected device or if the headphones is removed from the transmitter, the POWER/CHARGE indicator on the transmitter lights up green. If the transmitter doesn't detect an audio signal from the connected device for more than 10 minutes or if the power cord isn't plugged in, the POWER/CHARGE indicator won't light up.
    Red Light on Headphones (POWER indicator) Whenever you put on the headphones, it automatically powers on and the POWER indicator on the right side of the headphones glows in red. When the POWER indicator isn't on, this indicates the headphones are powered off or the rechargeable battery needs to be charged. If dry batteries are installed, replace them.
    Red Light on Headphones flashes (POWER indicator) If the POWER indicator lights dim when the battery power is checked, if the sound becomes distorted, or if you hear a noise, this indicates the rechargeable battery needs to be charged. If the indicator dims or flashes, install new dry batteries. When the POWER indicator isn't on, this indicates the headphones are powered off or the rechargeable battery needs to be charged. If dry batteries are installed, replace them.
