Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
IMPORTANT: It is recommended that you only use a Sony® brand rechargeable battery.
- Remove the battery from the camcorder or charger.
- Ensure the metal contacts on the battery are free of corrosion.
NOTE: If necessary, the metal contacts can be cleaned using a soft cloth.
- Reinsert the battery into the camcorder or charger.
If the issue is still unresolved, then the battery may need to be replaced. If still unresolved after trying a replacement battery, then service may be required.
