A white screen is sometimes displayed when the Android TV enters the Daydream mode.

If the time on the Android™ TV does not match the time of your Internet server, the TV cannot obtain pictures from the server and a white screen is displayed instead. To correct this, you can either change the time settings or turn off the Daydream mode by following the steps below.

  • To change the time settings
    • When connected to the Internet:

      1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
      3. Under the System Preferences category, select Date & time.
      4. Select Automatic date & time.
      5. Select On.

        NOTE: Under Automatic date & time, if Time synchronization is available, select Use network-provided time.

    • When not connected to the Internet:

      1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
      2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
      3. Under the System Preferences category, select Date & time.
      4. Select Automatic date & time.
      5. Select Off.

        NOTE: Under Automatic date & time, if Use broadcast time is displayed, the date and time can be set using the Automatic date & time setting.

      6. Manually adjust the Date and Time settings.
  • To turn off the Daydream mode
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
    3. Under the TV category, select Daydream.
    4. Select Daydream.
    5. Set to None or Sleep.
