Enable Samba TV and Add It to the Spotlight App

This page provides information on how to enable the Samba TV® service and add your TV to the Spotlight app.

Enable Samba TV

Follow the instructions according to your TV type.

Note: You can also enable the app during initial setup.

  • Android TV™ models
  1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Under System Preferences, select Samba Interactive TV.
  4. Enable Samba Interactive TV.
    • Take note of the code under Connected Devices.
  • Other TVs
  1. Press the HOME button.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Select Setup.
  5. Select Network.
  6. Select Samba Interactive TV.
  7. Under Settings, select Enable.
  8. Go to Connected Devices.
    • Take note of the code.

Add Your TV to the Spotlight App

Currently, the Spotlight by Samba TV app is available only on an iPad® mobile device with iOS™ 7.0 or higher operating system.

  1. Install the Spotlight app on your mobile device.
  2. Go to the Spotlight SETTINGS.
  3. Select CONNECT YOUR TV.
  4. Enter the code.
  5. Tap Done to proceed to the next screen.
