Can I teach aibo tricks or make it forget them?

You can teach aibo new tricks, remove previously learned tricks, and make it perform tricks using the My aibo app or voice commands. This article explains the different ways to teach and manage tricks, either through the app or by interacting directly with aibo.

Teach a trick using My aibo app

1. Open the Trick section of the My aibo app.
2. Select the trick you want aibo to learn.
3. Select Teach.
4. After aibo learns the trick, it appears in the Trained list.

Teach a trick directly to aibo

1. Say “Learn this” to your aibo.
2. When aibo sits down and raises its front paws, press a paw pad and move the front paws to demonstrate the motion.
   
3. When you finish teaching the motion, release the paw pad.
4. Say “Did you get it?” to check the movement.
5. If you want to save the trick, say “Don’t forget it” after performing the motion.

Notes:

• You can teach motions that are up to 15 seconds long.
• You can register up to 30 tricks learned by directly moving aibo’s front paws.

Make aibo forget a trick

1. Open the Trick section of the My aibo app.
2. Select the trick you want to remove.
3. Select Forget.

IMPORTANT: If you remove a trick that was learned by directly moving aibo's front paws, the trick cannot be restored.

Make aibo perform a learned trick

You can make aibo perform a learned trick in either of the following ways:

• Say the trick’s name to aibo.
• In the Trained section of the My aibo app, select the trick you want, then select Try trick.

To have aibo perform one of its learned tricks, say "Show me your new trick" aibo will perform one trick from those it has learned.
