If aibo does not recognize the location of its charging station, follow these steps to help it learn where the charging station is and return to it for charging.
- Place aibo facing the charging station and position it at least 50 cm (20 in.) from the front edge of the charging station.
- Make sure aibo is aligned straight with the charging station and is not angled to the left or right.
- In a quiet environment with minimal TV noise or conversation, say "Charging Station" to aibo.
- Confirm that aibo moves to the charging station on its own and begins charging.
- While aibo is charging, do not remove it from the charging station.
- After charging is complete, allow aibo to leave the charging station on its own.
- Allow aibo to play near the charging station so it can continue learning its location.
Notes:
- Place the charging station in a bright room, away from direct sunlight.
- Install it in a location where the room temperature does not exceed 35 °C (95 °F).
- Keep the area around the charging station clear of objects: 50 cm (20 in.) in front and behind, and 15 cm (6 in.) to the left and right.
