What is Smart connectivity and how does it work?
Solution
When both a Wi-Fi® and a mobile network are available, Smart connectivity ensures that you're using the network with the best connection quality. It uses the Xperia® deep learning technology to analyze Wi-Fi signals and predict near and future connectivity issues. If it finds that the Wi-Fi network you're currently using is about to decrease significantly in connection quality and become unstable, it switches to the mobile network. This will make your connectivity seamless and help to prevent any disruptions.
Smart connectivity is activated by default, but you can turn it off to prioritize Wi-Fi connections.
Steps to turn off Smart connectivity
- Find and tap Setting → Network & Internet → Advanced → Smart connectivity.
- Tap the switch beside Use service to turn the feature off.
