No sound, muffled sound, or noise occurs when connecting with the headphone cable

If the headphone plug is not fully inserted into the input jack, you may experience issues such as no sound, muffled audio, or static noise. To prevent these problems, make sure to insert the plug firmly into the input jack. You'll know the cable is fully seated when the gold ring on the plug is no longer visible.

    Tip

If you still see part of the headphone plug, apply steady, gentle pressure until you feel or hear a click.

    Notes:

    • Be sure to connect the I-shaped plug into the headphones and the L-shaped plug into the connected device.
    • This issue may also happen when the L-shaped plug isn't connected firmly. Disconnect the L-shaped plug from the connected device approximately three times, and then plug it in firmly.
    • If the plug isn't clean, the sound may not be heard properly. Clean the plug regularly using a dry cloth.
