INZONE Buds, INZONE headphones: There is unusual noise, the sound is distorted, or the sound skips when using a USB transceiver
These issues may be caused by radio-wave interference from nearby devices or by obstacles blocking the wireless signal. Try these troubleshooting steps based on what device you're using to help you get back to clear audio quickly.
Before you start
Update your headphones' software to the latest version.
Connected to a smartphone (INZONE H9 II, INZONE Buds only)
- If your smartphone is in your pocket, take it out and bring it closer to the headphones.
- If your smartphone is connected to the INZONE Buds and it's also connected to a Wi-Fi® network, use the 5 GHz band.
- Keep the INZONE Buds away from other electronic devices (e.g., smartphones other than the ones connected to the INZONE Buds or Wi-Fi devices).
- Move away from any devices that may cause interference.
- Change the direction of the USB transceiver.
- Move any metal objects away from the transceiver.
Connected to a computer
- Disconnect the USB transceiver and connect it to a different computer port. For example, if the transceiver is connected to the back of a desktop computer, connect it to a USB port on the front instead.
- Move any device or cable supporting USB 3.0 away from the USB transceiver.
- Remove all other USB devices and USB cables from the computer, if possible.
- Move any metal objects away from the USB transceiver.
- Place the headphones and the USB transceiver closer together.
Note: For the INZONE H5/H7/H9/H9 II, since the antenna is located inside the left unit, we recommend connecting the USB transceiver on the left side of the computer to avoid obstacles between the antenna and the transceiver.
