Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
- Attempt to gently remove all the tape that has been pulled out of the cassette from the inside of the camera cassette compartment.
IMPORTANT: If all the tape cannot be removed from the inside of the camcorder, service will be required.
- Clean the camcorder tape heads using the correct cleaning cassette.
- After cleaning the tape heads, verify the camcorder has stoped eating tapes by testing it with a tape that has nothing recorded on it.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.
