Follow these instructions if the following issues occur:
- The Android TV™ device isn't detected as a Chromecast™ Built-in (Google Cast) device.
- There was a problem connecting to XXX-XXXXX (Model name) error message appears and the connection fails even though the Cast icon is available on the mobile device and the TV model is detected.
Check if the Chromecast Built-in function works after completing each step.
- Update the TV software.
Downloads are posted on your model support page.
- Connect the mobile device and your TV to the same network.
- If using a dual-band wireless router, make sure your devices connect to the same frequency.

Update the Chromecast Built-in app to the latest version.
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Under Apps, select Google Play™ Store.
- On TVs with Android™ 8.0 Oreo operating system, select the Apps
icon.
- In the Google play screen, highlight the magnifying glass icon on the top-left corner, then search for Chromecast Built-in.
- Make sure to correctly spell Chromecast Built-in when you search for the app.
- Select Chromecast Built-in, then select Update.
Note: If Uninstall appears instead of Update, select Uninstall, and then select Update.
- In the Google Play Store App permissions, select Continue.

Set the correct date and time on your TV.
- If your TV has an active internet connection:
- On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings or
icon. - Under System Preferences category, select Date & time.
- This step will vary depending on your model. Follow the steps according to the TV menu options:
- Enable Automatic date & time.
- Select Automatic date & time > Use network time.
- Set Automatic date & time to On.
- Set Time synchronization to Use network-provided time.
- If your TV has no active internet connection:
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under System Preferences category, select Date & time.
- Select Automatic date & time.
- Select Off.
- Manually adjust the Time and Date.

Restart the app, router, and mobile device.
- Restart the app on the mobile device.
- Check the mobile device manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
- Restart the wireless router.
- Turn off the router.
- Unplug the router for one minute.
- Plug it back in.
- Restart the mobile device.
- Check the mobile device manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
- If the mobile device still doesn't display the Cast icon, try to connect a different mobile device to your TV.
- Reset your TV.
