I cannot access the videos, music or other content from apps on the Android TV.

Accessing the network service content from apps on the Android™ TV like the Google Play™ store and the YouTube® app require an Internet connection and the correct Date & time settings. Follow the steps below to make sure that the TV is connected to the Internet and that the Date & time settings are correct.

To check network status

  1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
  2. Under the Settings category, select Help.
  3. Under the PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS category, select Internet connectivity symptoms.

To set date and time

  • If the TV is connected to a network
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
    3. Under the System Preferences category, select Date & time.
    4. Select Automatic date & time.
    5. Set to On.
  • If the TV is not connected to a network
    1. On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
    3. Under the System Preferences category, select Date & time.
    4. Select Automatic date & time.
    5. Set to Off.
    6. Set the Date and Time manually.

NOTE: If the Date & time settings are not correct, the following functions may not work properly.

  • Search/Voice Search
  • Voice Actions
  • Backdrop (screen saver with scenic pictures)
