A black screen indicates an improper connection or an incorrect HDMI cable is used. Make sure the HDMI® cables and connected devices are compatible with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 2.2.
If an AV Receiver or Home Theater System is connected in between the Playstation® 4 Pro (PS4™ Pro) and TV, it must also support HDCP 2.2. Select your product below to confirm what you need to connect your devices correctly. Check your product manuals for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
If the HDMI Cable or AV Device Doesn't Support HDCP 2.2
- Start the PS4 Pro in Safe Mode
- Select 8. Set HDCP Mode.
- Select 2. HDCP 1.40 Only.
