Can't Access or Change the Equalizer

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.

    The Equalizer isn't available or grayed out if:

    • You set Sound Mode to Music, Cinema, or Sports.

      In this case, set the Sound mode to Standard.

      1. Press HOME on the supplied remote control.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Preferences under Settings.
      4. Select Sound under the Preferences category.
      5. Select Standard.
    • You set Sound restoration (DSEE) to Auto.

      In this case, set Sound restoration (DSEE) to Off.

      1. Press HOME on the supplied remote control.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Preferences under Settings.
      4. Select Sound under the Preferences category.
      5. Select Sound restoration (DSEE).
      6. Select Off.
    • You set Surround to Auto or On.

      In this case, set Surround to Off.

      1. Press HOME on the supplied remote control.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Preferences under Settings.
      4. Select Sound under the Preferences category.
      5. Select Surround.
      6. Select Off.

    Note: The Equalizer will adjust to the recommended sound quality even if it isn't available or is grayed out.
