aibo has started making unusual noises or sounds

If your aibo makes an unusual sound, there is usually no need for concern. Some operating noises can occur during normal use. First, identify the type of sound you hear.

When aibo makes a ticking sound

Your aibo may have entered Scan QR mode. This behavior is normal. If the ticking sound stops when you say "Stop" or "Never mind," this behavior is part of normal operations.

When you hear a clanking sound while lifting, tilting, or shaking aibo

You may hear a clanking sound from the shutter mechanisms where the legs connect to the body when you lift, tilt, or gently move aibo from side to side. This sound is normal.

    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Volume.
    4. Set the volume to 0 (zero).
    5. Restart aibo.

If the sound stops, the issue may have been temporary. If you continue to hear the sound, Contact Sony Support for assistance or repair options.
